Assuming your Mastercard is a credit card, you should be able to call the Customer Service number on the back of your card and it should be automatically activated by computer when you go through the 'choosing a number' process.
It does have to be your own home phone though, the one you listed on your application for the card. Hope this helps.

Will a bank give a 90 year old man a mortgage, assuming he would otherwise be eligible?No one seems to know the answer. I know the man would be a risk to the bank, but if he meets all the necessary income requirements, could they say no? Is that age discrimination?
