Can a bank seek to collect the balance of dept after I have settled with their collection agency?
several months ago I settled with a collection agency for money owed on a credit card. I recently got a bill from the credit card agency for the differnece plus interest, of the bill less the settlement payment I made. The collection agency told me that once I settled with them for about 3/5ths what I owed, the dept would be wiped clean. Can the bank card bill me even though I settled with their collection agency?
