It depends on what your mortgage company allows, as well as your bank.
If you have online banking with your bank, and if you've opened an online account that you can access, you can easily use the "bill pay" option to set up recurring monthly payments to your mortgage company (and any other company, for that matter.)
To set it up with your mortgage company directly, you need to see if they have a "direct pay" option. If they do, they'll automatically deduct your monthly payment from your checking account. (This is the method we use.)
