I'm not a fan of bailouts. However, since there are many unfunded mandates from the federal government that are causing the states financial hardship I don't have a problem with the federal government bailing out a state since the federal government is partly responsible.
Very good point Shawn. There are many things that the federal gov't wants done but they don't want to spend their own money. The only question then becomes how much of a bailout and what are the strings they are going to attach.
