If received unemployment in 2010 do I qualify for the earned income credit ?
The earned income credit is only income you earned. Unemployment insurance is not an earnings as far as taxes go. It's working earned income that gets that credit. If you had half the year of working and half the year of unemployment then you would get the credit on the work part of the income.
