I installed a solar energy system then rented my home - can I still claim the 30% credit?
Or, should I uninstall and move the system to my new primary residence?
When you mentioned the 30% tax credit I realized that you are referring to the Federal Tax Credit. The answer is yes, you can still claim it even though you are renting the home because it is a one-time credit i.e. you purchased it in tax year when you were a homeowner.

Well, I've had to do this again to have a chance for someone to defend their claim without the power to simply delete my arguments. The author of the hub of which I speak is Fatfist, and I invite him to defend his claim...
