What is the best money or budget advice you've ever gotten?
I support a family of 6 on one income, and believe me, money is always tight. I wrote a hub a while back you may find useful.

The best money advice I've received was "A penny saved is a penny earned". Saving more means you're making more.
It may seem obvious, but "always plan in advance." It's very easy to get carried away with finances. If you plan a budget, you're more likely going to stick to it.
Also, "always save for a rainy day," especially in the current economic climate worldwide. You never know if you're going to be affected by redundancy or anything else.
Add to your savings account on a regular basis, and don't consider that money available for spending. Thanks mom!
