How did someone try and make you a victim of a fraud/scam?
Almost a decade ago I was almost a victim of a Nigerian scam they said they wanted to transfer a lot of money into my bank account. I thought of giving them a number for an empty account just to see what would happen but just didn't want to get mixed up in it.
I posted an ad on Craigslist to advertise tutoring services. Everybody who responded claimed to be an overseas parent of a college student. They were eager to arrange tutoring in 20 subjects, seriously, saying for example that a daughter wanted tutoring in "Italian, French, Chinese, chemistry, economics" etc. All I had to do was provide my bank account number for quick payment!
