Yes, if you count using TurboTax as "doing my own".
We had a preparer do it for many years. He asked questions, collected numbers from our forms , did the calculations and sent us a bill.
The program asks questions, has me fill in numbers and does the calculations.
It is about the same process in both instances-- except the second is much cheaper, AND it gives me the feeling that I really know what is going on, financially.
