Will a higher dividend tax affect how your stock portfolio is allocated?
If the tax on dividends explodes from 15% to nearly 45% will you reallocate your portfolio to hold more growth stocks as opposed to value stocks? I'm still up in the air on this one, as I'm just an average investor who feels more comfortable with more predictable earnings and lower volatility. Even if I don't reallocate, I think this will affect future stock purchases.
