What is a homeless person in your community?
Homelesspeople are unique in their way of seeing life. In your community how do you see them? Are they a negative to you and community? Or do they inspire you to take action in your community?
In our community, we have many who are considered homeless because they live in campers, abandoned house, or vacation cabins with no services such as water and electricity. Others live with friends or family, and move on to another "home" when they've worn out their welcome. I don't see them as a negative in our community, but I do believe we can do so much more for them. Working in the school system, I see the impact that homelessness has on children on so many levels-- education, nutrition, emotion, and so much more.
