Self Indulgences

Consentaneous Consequences of obnoxious self indulgences:

  • publishing multiple hubs at once,
  • obnoxious TV commercials,
  • Google intrusion,
  • tax free religions,
  • drugs(users&abusers).

Self indulgences can be a good thing at times, if done in moderation.

Everything we do in life has consequences -

either good or bad.

Big brother is watching us at all times. No one is exempt from scrutiny

except crooks, the wealthy, and politicians.

We will all owe our souls to the proverbial company store.

The title implies that:

The same conclusions, {if} derived through logic, will be reached by everyone alike, regarding a particular action, inaction or event.

Simultaneous publishings

The first event is in regards to the consequences of publishing multiple hubs at the same time, or on the same day.

There is no obvious advantage to this practice other than to saturate a site for the sake of sheer numbers or to secure a place for their storage.

It is not logically conducive to having these articles (hubs) read by other members of hub pages.

On the other hand, the greater number of hubs accrued may result in a greater number of "hits" from outside sources, but even at that, there is no guarantee of excessive "hits" simply due to excessive articles, unless the articles have substantial merits unto themselves.

In our current society every activity that brings in revenue can be somehow "gamed" by those who are more 'savvy' than others. But as a general rule, those who 'game the system' are doing a disservice to the other readers and doing something unintended by the "host", or "payer".

It is difficult to ascertain the underlying intent of publishing multiple hubs in one day. If someone could point out the rationale behind this phenomena without betraying some great gaming secret, i would greatly appreciate hearing it.

The other problem for other hubbers who have many hubs they follow, it is impossible to read these multiple publishing's daily. So, the choices are limited to: not reading any at all, or reading those that only have a title of interest. Some hubbers have so many published at one time is is easier to just skip them altogether

T.V. Commercials

The second event that is truly irritating and must be addressed to vent the frustration of having to endure them at all. They have nothing to do with hub pages but are annoying T.V. commercials. These are in the classification of unbidden consequences that lead to Constantine's consequences without that intent.

There are two that come to mind:

A. The commercials for Hillshire Farms and those incessantly annoying back yard barbecues that always end with all the guests at the BBQ yelling "EAT MEAT".

i DID email Hillshire Farms my concern about these annoying ads, and that, as a result of having to endure them, i will NEVER buy another Hillshire Farms product and neither will anyone else i know as i have discovered everyone else has the same sentiments toward their ads. They are rarely seen now.

B. The second commercial is the one for "Christian Dating". I did do a hub on that one voicing my disdain to being subjected to its subliminal subversive message. But, i will not let them know how badly it is hated by T.V. viewers as they might just decide to remove it altogether.

Even though it annoys the crap out of me, it is serving a much appreciated service that i advocate completely.

No. It is NOT the message of inbreeding amongst Christians that i advocate, but rather that it is causing Christianity to be looked at in a whole new light - by Christians themselves.

I know many Christians and have not had one of them condone these advertisements. So, it is souring them to Christianity itself. Once that door to enlightenment is opened a crack, it is only a matter of time before the curiosity of viewing the world in the light of spiritualism, logic, reality, and good old common sense seeps in, instead of commercialism.

And hopefully once the enlightenment sets in, the insidious hold on the unwary brainwashed Christian Community will begin to diminish.

We can only hope.

And i do hope that the Muslim, Jewish, Mormon, and all the others, will follow suit with more of their own inane T.V. ads.

Cookies (of internet fame)

The third event is Google and how they manage to infiltrate every aspect of life on the Internet, and on this planet. They place their "cookies" on our computers in such great numbers that these rotten cookies actually slow down the speed of our computer.

They are invasive, intrusive and record every waking minute we spend on, not only hub pages, but every other site we visit even for a second or two.

I suspect they are somehow linked to Homeland Security and every second of our lives watching T.V., talking on our phone, using our computer, using our credit cards, bank accounts, etc... , are giving them a perfect picture of who we are, and exactly what we like, dislike, buy or sell. And that information is accessible to anyone who wants to know all about us, and pass their judgments as to whether we are good or bad American puppets, and/or to bombard us with ads about their wares in hopes we will weaken and buy them.

It is all about profit.

The crooks are using Google satellite to view entire neighborhoods to assess the "affluent versus the poor areas". Then they simply watch for your pattern of behavior to ascertain when you are home and when you are not, and for how long your house is available for their unwanted entry and burglary.

They can even decide the safest (undetectable) way for them to enter your homes to burglarize them (this is not my paranoia, i saw it on the news). You don't even have any privacy sitting (or sun bathing in the nude) in your back yard with a 10 foot high, 3 foot thick stone wall totally surrounding your entire property. The next thing you know the "authorities" will be bashing down your door and arresting you for indecent exposure to the 'Gods of the sky' in your own "private, fenced in" backyard.

And don't even think you can hide on the inside of your house with all the shutters and doors closed and locked.

With the new "body heat detectors" they can tell how many people are inside your home and which rooms you are in.

If you are not in a heterosexual, government sanctioned, legal matrimonial contract, or are in a concubinage (a cohabitation of persons not legally married) - you had better not be seen via heat seeking instruments occupying the same space in your "hermetically sealed and private" abodes, at the same time.

I suppose if you built a home underground with thick cement, and lead lined, walls and roof, you might have some modicum of privacy.

BUT, you can be assured if this comes to pass there will be new laws enacted by our government banning them as well.

Tax exempt freeloaders

The fourth event is my inability to understand how and why multi (trillion) dollars in annual profits by religious businesses are NOT being taxed ??

Does anyone really believe that they will be smitten and sent to hell for eternity for taxing these highly profitable businesses?

Is God so petty that he/she would destroy this planet for not tithing or expecting those businesses who demand government representation without taxation, to simply not have a free ride anymore??

And don't even get me started on the Corporate loop holes, kick backs, tax breaks, exemptions, etc...., that these thieves have managed to procure for themselves with the tax payers footing the bill, for their grossly exorbitant salaries, golden parachutes, bonuses, commissions, etc.........

Illegal drugs

The fifth event and final in this hub (as you give your sigh of relief or "thank you". That is of course assuming you have even read this far).

This one has to do with my inability to understand how in hell the Government (the GOP) can justify spending taxpayer money hunting down drug users and abusers. (I know all the arguments pro and con for legalizing, or minimizing punishments for Marijuana use.) This is not about that.

Here is the new event that the Republican conservatives are trying to push through legislature and that some states like Florida are already managing to pass due to their majority numbers (the very thing that they constantly accuse President Obama of doing with the insurance affordability bill). (Odd, how it is OK for them, but not for their opponents) - but i digress.

They are pushing for drug laws to be extended, not relaxed, to include charging American citizens with drug felonies for simply just visiting countries with no laws against marijuana use, or even contacting friends or families in those countries by phone, mail, or computer to suggest their approval of the use of pot, or to attend any function in those countries in which marijuana is being used (legally).

This new law would allow the U.S. prosecutors to arrest, detain and charge anyone returning from those countries to American soil with the same offense, whether they used those drugs there or not.

This also includes reversing the laws on marijuana use for medical purposes in this country. They want all hemp growing banned from the U.S. and to hell with the patients who can benefit from its use.

How's that for slapping the President in the face for even suggesting we loosen our laws against marijuana use and the prosecution of those who actually use it, grow it, or own paraphernalia that suggests they might use it.

I guess they are showing him who is boss. After all even though Mr. Obama won the presidential election, he is still not recognized as President of the United States by the GOP.

But i do suspect there is more to it than that alone.

It has come to light that the THC in marijuana has cancer curing properties.

This fact would prove to be a devastating blow to the net profits of Corporate America on so many levels, it must never be allowed to happen (legalizing drugs).

Corporate Agendas:

We must preserve "profits" above all else.

Therein lies the true agenda behind these new attacks on blocking any legislation that my even lessen the penalties on drug use in the U.S.A.

A cure for cancer from Marijuana (hemp) plants cannot, or must not, be introduced at all.

It would take away trillions of dollars in precious profits from pharmaceutical companies, chemotherapy use, and a myriad of other businesses who cash in on this major profit producing industry that they (republicans) have sworn to protect at any and all costs to the taxpayers, and the "commoners", who have little or no value anymore

- other than as slave labor.
