"This hub is dedicated to those women who are verbally, mentally and physically abused by the day and by this very minute...."

Midtown USA

3 a.m.

Robert has been drinking all night and got back home after 'boozing' his life away. Wife Nancy has been waiting all day for him. Little Krissy,7 years of age, has been told by mommy to hide in her Cinderella bedroom, under her sheets. Little Krissy finally heard that 'sound;' her father started smacking her sweet mommy down to the floor. The only words she heard and will never forget are: "...I don't think Krissy is really my daughter. That's why I hate you Nancy!"

Little Krissy's blue eyes got wide-open under those pink sheets. Unfortunately she started 'pissing' on her bed without warning. "How could you say such a lie Robert. I have given all my life. You just get drunk because you cannot face your own misery.." Robert is about to hit her again, but Nancy kicked as hard as she could, right between his legs. "Aah! Bitch! You...!"

We decided to stop the scene and take Robert to a room, some 35 years later.

Now Robert, you are 65 years of age . Have you seen what you did to your wife almost four decades ago?

Yeah! I don't even recognize myself. I was lost in my own world, and this scene makes me cry, now that I'm older.

How could you have said those words about doubting your own daughter? She is 43, and still cannot get over your stupid words. Do you think this was the right thing to do?

Sorry, Joseph I was living my stupid younger life. Shannon, the 'other woman,' put those ideas in my head and we were drinking all night before I headed home. And you know...

Krissy was afraid to love her own husband because of a simple statement. Don't You wish things were different?

I feel so sorry. I mean, my father used to do the same thing with mom, and I began to drink way early in my teens, just to get those noises from my head.

I understand Robert. This is like an spiraling chain reaction. Just a reminder though. Your wife did die 25 years ago... and you passed away 5 months ago from cirrhosis. Actually Krissy just came to visit your grave. She took care of you for the last 4 years of your life. That steel mill just gave up on your alcoholism and booze.

And my stupid pride never let me say sorry to her. Just bury me deeper!!. Because I'm right where I deserve to be...And who are you?

Your guardian angel, and your daughter's too.

San Antonio Texas

9 p.m.

Maria,32 ,a mother of two, just came back home from her community College. She was almost done with her 5 years of studies. She left Nursing School because she got pregnant at 21. Kids were Mario 10, and Rachel 8 1/2.

Suddenly Hubby Francisco came back from his duties as a contractor. "You are four hours late Francisco!," said Maria, who was fixing two turkey sandwich for her beloved kids. Right after done shutting her mouth, he started hitting his wife.

"Who do you think you are for controlling my f** life huh?" Little schnauzer dog 'Percy' started barking. Kids ran out of the house and... neighbors called 911.

Hold it!! Let's take Francisco to our secret chamber of pains..I mean, interviews. Let's fast-forward just, huh, 28 years. And see where we are at...!

Well, Francisco did you see what you have done?

Joseph. I'm ashamed of my own self. How... I don't get it myself; wee see our lives in retrospect and we wish we could've mended things at that moment.

The thing is, 'harm' has been done. Your kids have had bad relationships for their Passive-aggressive behavior. All your actions marked everybody's lives. For instance, your daughter wanted to find love in the wrong arms, thinking she would find a better husband than you. Disheartening right?

No way! This is terrible! And my son...? Where is he?

He became a Chef, since women his age thought he was too 'kind' for their wildest dreams. But, he is coming back tomorrow to see you. Tomorrow will be your 58th birthday..!

Don't tell me I'm death already please Joseph! I swear...! Don't you dare...!

Actually you are being resuscitated right now by your own wife. She is inducing CPR to bring you back to life in...5, 4, 3, 2, ...

"Defibrillator!! I know he can make it; for goodness sake Francisco, don't leave us now!"

That was your wife. Can you hear her?

My Lord! She did love me all along..! I want to live!! I'm sorry Maria!!

Go in peace Francisco, you are going back... !

I started not to comment on this as this is a very personal subject for me. But if my comment can help just one person, then I did the right thing. I was an only child to two alcoholics. They drank for as long as I can remember. My childhood memories are of the police or ambulance coming to my house because the neighbors called them, or the finding my mom unconcious in the floor when I came home from school because my dad had beat her, again. I'm know there are some happy memories, but not near as many as the bad. I hope to make just one woman, who says she is staying for the kids, to understand that is the worst thing she can possibly do! I am fortunate that I was, lucky, maybe, or maybe it made me a stonger person, but I have never let a man raise his hand to me. To this day, I cannot tolerate someone raising their voice, even to another person, and I cannot or will not be around a person that is really drunk. If there is a woman reading this that stays because of the children, be matter where you go or how bad it gets, it is better for the children to have their mother and be in a peaceful environment.

I apologize for the length of my comment, I just felt I owed it to someone who may be reading this. I have to go now before I change my mind about posting this.

    Voted this up and awesome!

    Tammy S,

Reality is. Things are not getting better. W e have a way to pulse the abuse. And due to financial distress, Women cannot leave the relationship and stay for the sake of their kids. Thanks! I'm outraged as well.

Mary, you mad our day for reading us. We were worried about not getting the message across. Is sad... more than sad. How can you change your kids lives by acting like an idiot! Yeah man, I talking to you, who live in a society that is run by males.

I wish there was a "Sad" button because this is so very sad. You did a fantastic job and I hope somebody out there gets the message and either stops abusing or leaves an abusive situation.

I got chills reading your scenarios ... if we could only turn back time.

Beautifully done...voted up, useful, awesome and interesting.

Powerful! This is a powerful way to demonstrate the effect of abuse on a family and how one views it in intropect later in life. It is sad that such hubs are needed, but this is such a vital cause. Well done.
