Politics & Global Warming What Is Really Happening?

I often hear the question "Is global warming real?" well that is a simple question. Yes global warming is 100 percent real. The question is what is the cause of global warming. Is it man made, or is it a natural cycle. Well the simple answer to this question is both. The main cause is because of our current planetary orbit cycle. The earth does not always go around the sun in a perfect circle. There are times when the earth goes around the sun in an elliptical orbit. However right now we are in a warming interglacial period. This is because we are in a cycle where the earth goes around the sun in a circular orbit. The problem is that there are 100,000 year cycles. We have experienced several of them. Ice cores in Antarctica prove this without a doubt. The problem now is that the ice is melting too fast. This has been shown by tons of data from sedimentary ocean cores, as well as ice cores. So to keep your attention I will give you the facts.

Greenland contains 600,000 cubic miles of ice. Since 1990 Greenland's average winter temperature has risen by 46.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Greenland looses 275 billion gallons of water every 40 hours. 10 years ago the melting rate was just a third of this. Since 1850 the edge has retreated 37 miles. As well the retreat is getting faster. Greenland is loosing 20 % more mass than it gains each year. The mass balance is off, and this is the major problem. These are also old statistics from a few years ago. Now some of these numbers have almost tripled. As well an ice island which is four times the size of Manhattan broke off from one of the two main glaciers of Greenland. The satellite imaging technology is showing on a daily basis that the stability of the Antarctic and Greenland glaciers are not as stable as some would have you believe. Larsen B which was an ice sheet covering 1250 miles square miles in Antarctica it was stable for the last 10,000 years. However starting in January of 1995, it was totally gone by 2002. A 1250 mile glacier gone in seven years. Larsen B was just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. As after it broke up, the rest of the glacier started to melt 8 times faster than before. Everything has an effect on the other, and mans effect is becoming more and more clear everyday.

Now the question would be, why would politicians and right wing media act as if there is no such thing as global warming? Well one reason could be is that something big is on the horizon, and some powers to be do not know what to do about it. However the most logical thing would be if we are in a natural cycle do not make it worse as we are doing now. However that is exactly what we are doing. We are making it worse, and worse each year, by man made pollutants. During the BP disaster a massive amount of Methane was released. Methane is a much more potent greenhouse gas than Carbon Dioxide. Again the question would be, why when we know we are in a natural warming cycle would we make it even worse? If this was a natural cooling cycle this could possible help us, although I would not suggest it. The politicians will tell you, "oh Greenland had a winter storm this year." Most do not realize that there is a major difference in climate and temperature. Climate is the average temperature over a period of time. Temperature is a daily thing that is measured by mankind. Just because there is one cold winter in Greenland does not mean that in the summer, Greenland is not facing hotter and longer summers, because places like Greenland are. Which is exactly the case, the balance is off. The summers are hotter, and longer. So the icepack does not have time to grow, instead it is shrinking, and shrinking at an alarming rate. Mankind is at a crossroads, we can either attempt to solve the problem, or deny it. I will ask you, if you thought there was a chance your child could get cancer from a certain baby formula, would you say "oh well he or she might be okay." Or would you bank on a what if. Or would you act, because not to act could be fatal for your child. Well my friends that is where we are today. We can live in denial, or we can do something about the man made global warming.

For anyone who still ask themselves if global warming is real, just look at the BP oil disaster. The unleashing of massive methane deposits, as well as burning massive amounts of C02 off of the surface producing even higher amounts of Carbon Dioxide in 2010. It is no coincidence that 2010 has broke the record for the hottest year ever in recorded history. There are fewer, and fewer quasi scientist nowadays that will tell you that global warming is not real. Instead because of the media and politicians on the right, it is uneducated people who are the ones telling us that there is no such thing as global warming. While reading this I am sure I will have some people that will tell me that there is no such thing as global warming. However they have no degree in climatology. Meanwhile calling the climatologist liars, as these people know more than them apparently. Right now there are scientist recording the Greenland Glaciers. They are there in the crossfire, and will tell you that not only is global warming real. But it is now possible that the glaciers of Greenland and Antarctica have the potential to be totally gone during the summer months by the year 2030. That means millions of people will die or get displaced on our many shorelines across the world. Ice is a big deflector of solar energy, the albedo of white ice is 80 percent. The sea has a 20 percent albedo. This means every summer will be worse than this one here in 2010. That means that the upcoming years are going to be a rude awakening for the rejectors of global warming.

There could be a bigger reason for the powers to be to create a debate out of this factual knowledge. I find is so ironic how the 25% of people that are fooled all of the time. I think the media currently holds 20% of those people. As they are telling us blatant lies. Like I say if my name is Bob Miles, and the right wing media tell you I am lying my name is Steve Miller, it will be turned into a debate / conspiracy. So it no longer matters what my name is, as the creator of the conspiracy has done their job. My name is lost in the debate. This is what is happening today, and it is happen all to often as of late. The question would then be why. Well perhaps I would like to believe this. That there could be some major earth change that we are unaware of. Something like a pole shift. We all know that the earths magnetic field is in full reversal. This entire situation could all point to the fact that the North and South Poles are going to flip. Some scientist say not for another 10,000 years or so. However others say we do not know. Not the effects of a slow reversal, or a fast reversal. So no hope either way basically.  Perhaps some scientist out there have shown to highest powers within the government that a pole shift is imminent. So to get out of our current situation is a fruitless effort. If this is the case then it makes sense to a point. I have heard a theory that as the magnetic north pole, and the physical north pole meet a traumatic flip will occur. Basically like two magnets repelling each other. When the two north's get closer and closer, they will move away faster and faster. Like two magnets of the same polarity coming together. Likes repel, opposites attract. This would put the magnetic North pole somewhere near the equator. This would dramatically effect the planet. It would really be an Armageddon. As it would unleash earthquakes and super volcano's. As well as most all other volcanoes, as well there would be earthquakes where they do not normally occur. The oceans would engulf certain coast as well. If you really think about it, it actually makes sense. Why would humanity not do anything when it can potentially cost us all. I would like to imagine that the only way we would not act, is if we knew there was really no point to. Well let us hope for now, that I am wrong.
