A COMMON GROUND FOR US ALL TO LIVE TOGETHER IN HARMONY

…Or at Least – That is What THEY Would Have US ALL Believe!

“The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.” (Revelation 17:12-13 NIV)

The agents of the antichrist (false prophets) are already here. The time has long been initiated where they have strategically infiltrated the system of organized religion and the ever growing “New Age” replacement churches. Under the disguise of humanitarian universalism and a common need for global inter-faith cooperation, a one-world collective religious body will then begin to emerge.

“And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.” (Daniel 8:23-24 NKJ)

What in the world is everyone thinking of with the current initiative for world peace by way of inter-faith cooperation (and more of an issue, it’s consolidation)?

We have recently only scratched the surface of the “tip of the iceberg” in recent reports of what will soon be the consolidation of all faiths and the destruction of Christian church as we know it, as a result of this initiative. We (meaning the world at large) are sailing into dangerous waters and uncharted territory that will soon open up a “can of worms” that will be irreversible by the time anyone realizes what has truly hit them. Just by reviewing the evidence in our world news headlines and comparing this with what has been prophesied in Biblical Scripture, it should then become quite apparent that we are rapidly moving towards a one-world global religion.

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” (1 John 2:18 NKJ)

AUTHOR’s NOTE: It should be well noted that there are MANY good ministries and churches that effectively use and draw from more modern contemporary models for ministry, while still maintaining and adhering to proper biblical teachings as listed in the Holy Scripture. Pastors and ministry staff simply need to be very mindful in how they use these more progressive approaches as there is a very fine line that can be mistakenly crossed in regard to the observance of proper doctrine. The point for all, is to strive in maintaining and upholding a proper standard of righteousness as in the scope of definition by the Word of God and the teachings given by Jesus Christ with the perfect example He set forth.

Jesus was a great ministry innovator but He was very careful NOT to cross over into what might be misconstrued as improper spiritual teaching practices. We must use great discernment when approaching ministry and consider that (unlike Christ) mankind is imperfect and does frequently make mistakes. We must be extremely careful not to inadvertently plant seeds into our churches that the adversary can use against us.

Also, it was well put in another point about our efforts to witness and evangelize, that: "Instead of allowing our holy places to conform to the outside world in order to attract the masses inside, wouldn't it be better to simply go out into the world (fulfilling the 'Great Commission') and provide the perfect example of our faith that would attract people into our churches anyway."

*As fellow believers in the Body of Christ, we should ALL be watchful not only of others, but more importantly of ourselves and our own conduct. The fact is that many people are quite simply and innocently being led astray in their own practices, as “even the elect shall be deceived”. Therefore, we should be most prayerful in being concerned for everyone’s awakening and return to what is righteously proper in accordance with the Holy Scripture, in order to help all people clearly see these things. It is NOT for us to condemn or judge anyone (for that is solely at the Lord’s decision, not ours). PRAY FOR OUR PEOPLE TO HAVE REVIVAL!

FAITH SHARED – INTERFAITH ALLIANCE

HISTORY

The Interfaith Alliance was created in 1994 to celebrate religious freedom and to challenge the bigotry and hatred arising from religious and political extremism infiltrating American politics. Today, Interfaith Alliance has 185,000 members across the country made up of 75 faith traditions as well as those of no faith tradition.

Will You Join Us In Faith Shared?

The Interfaith Alliance and Human Rights First offer the "Faith Shared" event (June 26, 2011) as a way to engage faith leaders on the national and community levels in interfaith events intended to highlight respect among people of different faiths.

Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each other’s sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Qur’an, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.

While there is a strong preference for all of the events to happen on the same day, a number of congregations held interfaith services in January and February giving us wonderful examples of how communities can come together in support and fellowship.

TONY BLAIR FAITH FOUNDATION

Britain’s former prime minister (Tony Blair) along with former U.S. president Bill Clinton, have been actively campaigning for unity and inter-faith cooperation between collective religious groups. Mr. Blair has also founded and established the Tony Blair Faith Foundation which is promoting and teaching these same principles through their “Face to Faith” program at universities and now even in grade schools on a worldwide basis. There has also been a movement within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church to promote these same principles.

Tony Blair originally introduced introduced his Faith and Globalization Initiative at Yale University which has springboarded into the international program that is circulating today.

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is partnering with Yale University to create the Faith and Globalization seminar, which Mr. Blair will co-teach with members of the Yale faculty. Mr. Blair discusses the vision for his Foundation and the goals of this partnership.

Although on the surface these may appear to be worthwhile humanitarian efforts with a grand benevolent purpose, the reality is otherwise. These measures are “softening the masses” into accepting the concept and implementation of “one global religion” under the guise and potential benefits of promoting a unified worldwide peace.

Is the Catechism of the Catholic Church’s view on the Muslim god wrong?

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 841, Muslims together with the Catholics, “adore the one, merciful God.” This cannot be true because the Muslims and Catholics do not adore and worship the same God. The entire paragraph reads as follows:

(841) The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

If the Catholic Church is stating in this paragraph, that there are those within the Muslim community who may find salvation by becoming Christians and not remaining Muslims, then the statement would concur. But, it does not appear to be saying this.

What is disturbing is the statement that: “together with us they [Muslims] adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” So, Catholics and Muslims both “adore the one, merciful God.” Quite frankly, this would seem that the Roman Catholic church has either a faulty understanding of the God of Islam or they have loosened their own belief system pertaining to the Christian God. Either way, this is not a good position to stand on in reference to this matter on the core principles of the Christian faith.

Islam acknowledges that it serves the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But in so doing it is stating that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, were also Muslims! Furthermore, Islam denies that God is a Trinity:

“They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.” (Quran 5:73, Yusuf Ali).

Since the Trinity is the true biblical doctrine of God, how can the Muslims who deny the Trinity “adore the one, merciful God”? They cannot by default. Furthermore, in Christianity, Jesus is divine in nature (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9). Yet, the Quran states that Jesus is not divine:

“And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!” (Quran 5:30, Pickthal)

Obviously, the Muslims do not adore the one true merciful God because they serve a false god. They deny the Trinity and the deity of Christ. Quite simply, they deny the true God and are not capable of adoring the true God as long as they hold to the false teachings of Islam.

Therefore paragraph (841) in the Catechism of the Catholic Church cannot be correct either. That being the case, then what is the real position of the Catholic Church in reference to Islam?

Pope Benedict’s Last Take on Islam

The Pope’s landmark 2006 discourse at his former university that included a nasty historical citation about the prophet Mohammed and provocatively asked if Islam lacks reason, making it inherently prone to violence. The worldwide protests among Muslims, including a handful of church burnings and the killing of a nun, forced the Pope to quickly change his approach, and soften his tone.

The Pope acknowledged that “tensions and divisions between the followers of different religious traditions, sadly, cannot be denied.” But Benedict said that Muslims and Christians have a shared obligation to counter the contemporary idea that “religion is necessarily a cause of division in our world.” Instead, he said, faith is in fact necessary in a world in which reason alone can become a form of extremism. “When human reason humbly allows itself to be purified by faith… it is strengthened to resist presumption and reach beyond its own limitations.”

He seemed to return to this point. “Christians describe God, among other ways, as creative Reason, which orders and guides the world,” the Pope said. “Muslims worship God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, who has spoken to humanity.” The Pope seems to still believe that this distinction – between Christian faith that is “purified” by human reason, and Muslim faith that is simply received from God – is worth deeper exploration with his Islamic counterparts.

“Religion,” he said at an earlier discourse Saturday, “can be corrupted …. when pressed into the service of ignorance or prejudice, contempt, violence and abuse.” He called for a “mature belief in God.” The speech at the mosque intertwined theology and a more nuanced view of current events

Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi was asked afterwards whether the Pope’s view on Islam has changed since Regensburg. “It’s a journey, there’s progress,” he said. “We have to learn from what the Muslims tell us about Islam.” This Pope has sought to infuse “frankness” in the inter-faith dialogue that was a cornerstone of John Paul II’s papacy. But talking about both what unites and divides different religious traditions, requires not only talking frankly but listening carefully.

Rick Warren Admits His Membership in the ‘New World Order’ Group (CFR) Council on Foreign Relations

Megapastor Rick Warren’s Damascus Road Experience

WASHINGTON – Rick Warren, the superstar mega-church pastor and bestselling author of ”The Purpose Driven Life,” had a Damascus Road experience last week – and like Saul of Tarsus, one of the after-effects appears to be blindness.

Joseph Farah (WND): For a long time I’ve held off criticizing mega-church leader Rick Warren, author of the best-selling “The Purpose Driven Life,” even though I have been sorely tempted.

But now that Rick Warren has traveled to and provided legitimacy to a hostile foreign government, presided over by a brutal fascist dictator who hates Jews, threatens Israel, subverts neighboring Lebanon, imprisons and terrorizes its own citizens and even kills them in massive numbers when they stand up in revolt – now I have to denounce this impostor in the strongest terms possible.

It is my biblical mandate to do so.

Other Christians may be holding back, waiting to hear Rick Warren’s explanation for his behavior in Syria. Some are cautiously suggesting that accounts of his activities there may have been distorted by the controlled press. Some want to give him the benefit of any doubt.

I’m going to give it to you straight: Rick Warren had no business traveling to Syria and being used for propaganda purposes by Bashar Assad, the terrorist-supporting president.

Warren went to Syria and could find no persecution of Christians. He could find no persecution of Jews. He could find no evidence of extremism. He could find no evidence of the sponsorship of terrorism.

Despite the temporary loss of vision that prevented him from seeing any evil in the totalitarian police state, Warren’s hearing was apparently not affected – for his ears were tickled by what he heard and apparently accepted lock, stock and barrel from the second-generation dictator, Bashar Assad, and his state-approved mufti.

But that’s not the story Warren is telling – at least not in the official press releases he is sending out. Warren was also asked if he could respond specifically to the words put in his mouth by the Syrian news agency.

Warren responded by stating he is a close friend of President Bush ”and many, if not most, of the generals at the Pentagon.”

He also told me he did not tape anything while in Syria, ”because it was a courtesy call, like I do in every country.”

Warren explained that he had also counseled with the National Security Council and the White House, as well as the State Department, before his little courtesy call for a neighbor.

”In fact,” Warren added, ”as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Oxford Analytica, I might know as much about the Middle East as you.”

If I were a betting man, I would wager that Warren will come home and allege he was widely misquoted. He probably was. I HOPE he was. But here’s the problem: When you place yourself in the position of being used – and you ARE used – whose fault is it?

ISCA has organized important conferences and is actively supporting the inter-religious dialogues between Muslims and Christians and stimulates traditional, moderate Islamic points of view among decision makers in the United States and other countries, as well as through their independent publications. ISCA has advised world organizations, like the United Nations, and governments worldwide on current Muslim issues and the societies they live in.

Shaykh Kabbani, born to a prominent family in Beirut, Lebanon, is an influential, respected scholar, and writer, having graduated from the American University of Beirut in Chemistry. Among others, he also received his Islamic Law Degree (Shari’ah) in Damascus and is a highly respected keynote speaker.

He has been quoted, as stating from verses in the Qur’an:

“…We will see that the MAHDI (the 12th Imam or Islamic “Messiah”) will lead a world revolution that will institute a “New World Order” based on the religion of Islam. The Mahdi will offer the religion of Islam to the Jews and the Christians; if they accept it they will be spared, otherwise they will be killed. And Prophet Jesus ('Isa') will be the executioner under Mahdi.”

CHRISLAM – The Islamic-Christian National Dialogue Committee (Lebanon)

The coexistence between all denominations of Muslims and Christians is Lebanon’s greatest value. It is Lebanon’s mission to the world, in that it is a pattern of life, as well as a relationship of constant dialogue between the Christian and Islamic worlds, a link of continuity to enrich the values imprinted on human character by these two divinely revealed messages.

National fraternization between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon is not merely a commitment dictated by the essentials of coexistence or a necessity for avoiding sectarian strife, but also a destiny, a choice, and a noble human task which makes Lebanon have a world mission.

This requires the establishment of a just and conscious national state, which will open up horizons for emerging national forces to participate in creating a better tomorrow, reassure citizens and encourage them to shift from the shadow of the sect to the protection of the state which is responsible for their security and stability, and for providing them with the essential elements of a life of freedom and dignity.

Rick Warren’s Prayer at President Obama’s Inauguration – January 20th, 2009

Rick Warren’s use of the name ‘Isa’ the “false Jesus” of Islam, was a glaring slap in the face to all that he had already prayed. ‘Isa’ in no way represents the Jesus of the Bible but instead depicts a “false Jesus” as this person is described in the Qur’an (Koran) and the Muslim Hadith.

*Incidentally, during the original Oath of Office, Chief Justice John Roberts who was charged with the duty, bungled the reading of the invocation on Tuesday (Jan 20, 2009). He was later summoned to the White House and, in front of a small pool of reporters, Mr. Obama carefully and accurately repeated the 35-word oath a second time as prescribed by Article 2 of the Constitution. The problem was, no-one thought to bring a Bible and Mr. Obama elected to go ahead without one. Legally, that was fine – the Constitution makes no mention of a need for the Bible. Politically however, it may prove to be a problem.

'Chrislam' Starts to Spread in America – Rick Warren to Talk for the Islamic Society

NEW YORK (AP) - Sayyid Syeed remembers an interfaith event several years ago when a Jewish leader went to embrace him, saw someone snapping a photo, then suddenly pulled back.

Times have changed for the Islamic Society of North America and for Syeed, who leads the group’s interfaith outreach. In a sign of growing acceptance of U.S. Muslims, one of the most prominent religious leaders in the country, evangelical pastor Rick Warren, will speak at the Islamic Society’s annual convention this weekend. Representatives from the two largest streams of American Judaism, the Reform and Conservative movements, will also be there to highlight their recently formed partnerships with the Muslim group.

“The landscape of religion in America is changing,” Syeed said. “America itself has reached a certain level of fulfillment in terms of diversity of faith.”

The Islamic Society, an umbrella association for tens of thousands of Muslims, has worked for years to persuade leaders of other faiths to attend its convention, a massive family reunion in its 46th year that draws about 30,000 people.

Major American Jewish groups had largely stayed away from the event, mainly due to hostility between U.S. Muslims and Jews over Israel, the Palestinians and the role of Hamas in the region.

Many conservative Christians did the same. They viewed Islam through their experiences with Muslim countries where Christian minorities have been targets of violence and discrimination.

The convention will not be the first time Warren has addressed an American Muslim group. Last December, he spoke at a meeting of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, a policy organization based in Los Angeles. But the Islamic Society gathering is by far his most dramatic display of friendship with U.S. Muslims. Warren would not comment ahead of the event.

Two years ago, Rabbi Eric Yoffie, president of the liberal Union for Reform Judaism, the largest American branch of Judaism, became the first major Jewish leader to address the convention. The two groups have pledged to fight extremism and build ties between mosques and synagogues nationwide.

Rick Warren Wants Interfaith Projects with Islam – September 12, 2009

Just listen carefully to the below video. There are no words about Muhammad being a ‘false prophet’ or ‘Isa’ the “false Jesus” of Islam. Likewise, there are no words about the fact that Islam does not lead people towards Jesus, God the Son.

The One World religion is beginning to emerge with the Saddleback Pastor that blessed Obama, when the U.S. President held his hand on the Bible during the oath ceremony at the White House.

Aren’t we as Christian’s supposed to accept the Bible as our Final Authority in all matters of faith and practice?

We as Christians should pray for Rick Warren that he repents of his ecumenism and stops leading MILLIONS of unsuspecting Christian’s down this same path with him. We should love and feed people who haven’t heard about Jesus Christ and his saving work on the cross and his resurrection. But, we do it to share the gospel, not to solve world social problems.

Two Christian leaders are attempting to squelch a persistent rumor that Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren “embraces Chrislam.”

Pastors Geoff Surratt and Brandon Cox have posted their defense online. Warren recognized the posts late last week on Facebook and Twitter where he stated, “The stupid Chrislam lie wont die. Here are 2 true articles quoting me.”

Televangelist Jack Van Impe, who recently left Trinity Broadcasting Network as a result of his accusations aimed at Warren and Robert Schuller, has been suggesting that Warren is pushing Chrislam. He points to an Islamic conference in which Warren was a speaker at two years ago as evidence. Others in the Christian community and beyond have perpetuated the claim.

Followers of Chrislam use both the Bible and Qur'an and see them both as holy texts. Although Chrislam appears to have a limited number of followers, the term is currently being loosely interpreted by some people such as Impe.

Cox, who is planting Grace Hills Church in Arkansas and also manages Warren’s global network of pastors in an online community, said he’s been wanting to write an article in Warren’s defense for quite a while. However, he initially felt addressing the issue might bring more unwanted attention.

“When I saw Rick issue a tweet about it I felt the liberty to go ahead and address it publicly,” Cox told The Christian Post. “It’s as if both of us (Surratt and Cox) had that feeling of having had enough and wanting to stick up for a friend.”

Obama’s Plan to Islamicize America

At a meeting of the David Allen Lewis “Eschatology Club” a year ago in Springfield, Missouri, where Victor Mordechai of Israel Today was the featured speaker, he was told by the organizers that in the previous monthly meeting, Pastor Don Jones had made a disturbing statement about President Barack Obama’s plan to Islamicize America. Jones went to one of his orphanages in Haiti after the massive earthquake there and met with a senior UN official, who said Obama had told him that the U.S. would be a Muslim country by 2016, or by the end of his second term in office. While that may seem far-fetched, it is not beyond the realm of possibility.

With the continued wars and ongoing civil strife in the Middle East, tens of millions of Muslims are expected to flee to the U.S. and Europe in the very near future. President Obama would welcome these “brethren” on humanitarian grounds, and in effect, America would quickly become a Muslim country.

The problem with humankind however has been in finding and establishing proper godly rulers (ones who would listen to God and the prophets). The best example of this was in the Kings of Israel. Their rulers had a history of "falling from grace" where their people suffered greatly for the practices of their leaders. Repeated times over the generations a prophet would come to point out the "error in their ways" (not always to be heeded).

Some leaders would come along that had a heart for God and seek out the Lord, only then to have their people fully receive the blessings that were prepared for them by God. Then others still would stumble in their ways, for example when the people of Israel cried out: "Give us a king to judge us" (1 Samuel 8:6). But when their kings did not perform as they should have, the Lord God judged the entire nation instead. Their lands became either blessed or cursed accordingly (and more often they were cursed for their improper actions).

RELIGIOUS UNITY AT ALL COSTS?

How often do we hear of the lack of unity in the visible church in our time? It is lamented as if we should compromise and come together at all costs. However, that is unbiblical. The basis of true Christian unity centers in adherence to the revelation the Father mediated to our Lord’s first disciples through Him. Believers are also to be united in the common belief of the truth that was received in the Word of God (Philippians 2:2).

Whatever the case, we do know that there is no way that the church can be unified in fellowship with those who claim to be Christians but practice such things that are contradictory to the Word of God in the Holy Scriptures.

CENSORSHIP – Religious Broadcasters Complain of Discrimination on Web

WASHINGTON – Religious broadcasters say Internet service providers are censoring traditional moral views at the behest of homosexual rights advocates.

National Religious Broadcasters vicepPresident Craig Parshall notes that Apple has stricken two Christian apps from its iTunes store in recent months. Apps for the Manhattan Declaration and Exodus International both espouse biblical views on marriage and homosexuality.

A new NRB report also accuses Google, Facebook, and other Internet gatekeepers of religious viewpoint discrimination.

Parshall says they’re private companies, so it’s not government censorship. But he says religious broadcasters will urge them to provide an open forum for all legal views.

Saudi Arabia: Where the public display of bibles can lead to arrest

26 million people live in Saudi Arabia. Over 95% are Muslim and Christians make up a little more than 3% of the total population. In Saudi Arabia the practice of any other religion except fundamentalist Sunni Islam is forbidden; prohibition of professing any other religion than Islam is grounded on the belief that Saudi Arabia is holy ground.

Temples, churches, pagodas are prohibited, as well as public displays of religious objects and private religious gatherings.

Middle East Christians Facing ‘Extremist Atrocities’

The Archbishop of Canterbury has warned that there are extreme forces at work that have turned the Arab Spring into a “very anxious time” for Christians.

Dr. Rowan Williams told the BBC that the vacuum left by the end of autocratic regimes was being filled by extremists. He claimed there had been more killings of Christians and burnings of churches in Egypt than people were aware of.

Life was unsustainable for Christians in northern Iraq, and tensions in Syria were nearing breaking point, he added. Dr. Williams said violent extremism had made life unsustainable for Christians in northern Iraq, in a way that amounted to ethnic cleansing. “The level of violence has been extreme.” He said even in Syria, where Christians and Muslims had long lived together peacefully, tensions were building to breaking point.

Also in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, Christians who had once been in the majority were now a “marginalised minority”, he added.

Hindu Fundamentalists Disturb a Baptism Service in Athani, Karnataka

Pastor Santhosh V. Naganoor and his wife Smt. Shantha S. Naganoor look after the spiritual needs of a group of about 25 believers in their House Church called House of Praise Church at a village called Ugarkhod in Athani Taluk in Belgaum District of Karnataka. Just as they were about to start the Baptism Service, about 40 Sangh Parivarists pounced upon them and stopped the Baptism Service and caught hold of Pastor Santhosh, alleging that he was fraudulently and forcibly converting the Hindus to Christianity. They then sent for the police and got the pastor and 6 other believers, including Mrs. Shantha Naganoor, Muthavva, Rani, a guest speaker, one Pastor P.C. Joseph and a couple of other believers arrested and took them to Kagwad police station.

Pastor Sent to Jail for Praying in a Believer’s House in Hassan

Arakalgud, Hassan Dt. (Karnataka): Pastor Daniel Raghu (32) is in charge of a House Church called the New India Church of God at Arakalgud in Hassan District in Karnataka. At a prayer meeting, about 20 Hindu Sangh Parivarists surrounded the house and began shouting at the believers and the pastor that they were trying to forcibly convert people to Christianity. Then they sent for the police and got Pastor Daniel arrested and took him to the Sakleshpur police station.
