Your Week In Review

Updated on October 22, 2012

From The Frog Pond Pressroom

Last week's review column, my first, seems to have been well received. Traditions are some times born that way. I'll provide a few links at the bottom to highlight the items that may have flown under your radar. This past week Weinergate became a bit thick, twisted and stretched out, no puns intended. Weiner is choking his "stay in office" chicken for all its worth. His narcissistic personality requires he do such so he's seeking treatment now. No one knows if it's for his sexual addiction, his narcissistic personality disorder or maybe both. After repeatedly lying to everyone, he may figure that anything he says may not have much value when he starts moving his lips.

It got even more dicey and outrageous when police in Delaware were summoned to investigate Whiny's online contact with a 17 year old youngster. Kind of gives me meaning to "Teeny Wienie," huh? Just the mere mention of this got many a Democratic Congressman/woman's shorts in a wad and calls for his resignation began resonating through the halls of Congress. Even Debbie Downer and Pelosi started beating the Weiner. I'll get to Debbie Downer in a minute but this is how Pelosi phrased it, "Representative Weiner has the love of his family, the confidence of his constituents and the recognition that he needs help. I urge Congressman Weiner to seek that help without the pressures of being a member of Congress." I reckon that's a way of politely telling him to pack his bags. load up the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile and make like a reporter chasing Sarah Palin's bus.

Being the narcissist the man/boy is, he ignored the calls of his colleagues, issued press releases that he was seeking professional treatment and flew out of town to an undisclosed location and will seek a leave of absence, as yet unreceived and not approved. They have to vote on these important matters you see. I'm just hoping that group of gropers working for the TSA had a bit of fun shaking Weiner down for packing that roll of dimes he displays in his BVDs.

News Flash - Late Breaking News! As The Wiener flew off into the sunset 11 new photos were released. It seems that Little Weiner used his Blackberry and a mirror to pose for himself. Where you ask? The Congressional Gym. Isn't that a gymnasium owned by the American tax payer? So Weinergate goes on and on. The link to the pics is here. It's obvious that he won't warrant a pictorial with Playgirl magazine.

So Debbie (Wasserman Schultz) Downer, not being the type of progressive gad-fly that wants to be out done by a mere wiener, decided that she would be rude to a fellow Congressman showing her righteous indignation about his daring to call Obamacare of all things Obamacare. HOW DARE HE DISPARAGE OBAMA! That one even had me scratching my head. That's her bosses signature piece of legislation. Don't look now Debbie but are you aware that 1/18th of the US population has been granted a waiver from that fine idea (tongue in cheek time).

After her race baiting remarks, a new ad came out featuring Wasserman- Schultz. I find it amazing that voters elect people like this. But Debbie was not to be out wienered. When the 17 year old popped up on the radar she had to do something to gain some spot light time. She was quits with standing by her man. She jumped on the Weinerwagon and insisted that he had to resign for the good of the party. After all, he was preventing the Do Nothing Party from demagoguing the Mediscare issue that she is so fond of. Usually the whine in her New York voice makes me want to offer her some cheese to go with it.

But she is the Chairwoman of the DNC now so Debbie knows best. So while Debbie dithers, officials at the Whine House are staying mum. But on the positive side, fellow progressive Chuckie "Chessehead" Schumer was standing by his man. Uh oh! Of course Chuckie is above the fray sitting on his whatever he sits on in the US Senate where once again we saw them doing nothing to pass a budget or even propose one. They just figure they'll wait around until the entire economy collapses around the nation's ears and then blame the Republicans. forgetting that they controlled Congress from January 2007 until January of 2011. Yes, Congress does control the pursue strings as delineated in the Constitution. That's offensive now to the "Do Nothing" Party it seems. You can find Debbie Downer's race baiting diatribe here.

Here's a jingle to lighten up your mood.

Finger Clickin' Time

It was a slow week for the "Do Nothings" in the Senate. They sat up there on their haunches and did nothing again. But the"Do Nothing" Party is an expert at being a demagogue for anything and anybody they could target to deflect the negligence that we are seeing on display. It's been a coon's age since they passed a budget and we're paying those hound dogs $174K a year to do nothing. Where do I apply? YAWN!!! Here's what all of that is really about.

It Seems To Be An Art? Or Is It Mental Paralysis?

But The Lame Stream Media needed something exciting to do so they chased Sarah Palin again making up outrageous stories about her, chasing her bus like wounded Indians on the war path and making complete idiots out of themselves. Politico outdid it and printed 4 stories, one of which was just a blatant outright lie that they made up to "be" the news, rather than report it. Of course, when they were called on it, they had to write and print a retraction. TSK, TSK, TSK... They relied on Longfellow, a poet and not a historian, who romanticized Paul Revere's ride as an accurate portrayal of history but Sarah had it right. You see she read Paul Revere's letter written in 1798 to Jeremy Belknap recounting the system that was used. Another "OH DUH!" for the Lames Stream Media. You can find Paul Revere's letter here:

So while they were wiping that egg off their faces, what should happen? The state of Alaska released volumes of e-mails by and to Sarah. Off the rumor mongers scurried to see what kind of dirt they could uncover. They used time that should have been used covering the idiots on Upchuck Hill to read over thousands and thousands of e-mails. They rifled through over 24,000 of those puppies desperately. Now they look pretty damned foolish again having come up empty handed. But they were able to ascertain that Sarah Palin is a God fearing, Christian woman who has a grasp of scripture too. Imagine that? What's next with the Lame Stream Media and Sarah Palin, the private citizen. I still wonder why they fear this woman so. Maybe you can shed some light on the darkness. Seems the stupidity of the left wing media is making Sarah Palin look like an utter genius

Scrub-A-Dub Time Lames Stream Media

It was a slow news week unless you were like the Lame Stream Media and wanted to make things up as you went along, or tried to create the news by being the news. Going on the third week, is it now, of Weinergate, Wasserman Schultz continues to show the nation what an idiot she is and the "Do Nothings" did nothing. The Lame Stream Media acted again like rabid dogs chasing Sarah. Go - Sarah - Go. You're driving them nuts! I think I'll take a nap now and wait until they pass a budget in the Senate, or maybe propose an alternative to Paul Ryan's starting point. The problem is that I might be like Rip Van Winkle. Or is he a liberal myth too?

Have you noticed lately how far in over his inexperienced head Obama is now? I'm just askin'...

Last week's recap you can find here if you missed it.
