In what way? You need to be more specific in your question.

Canada is one of the richest, most peaceful, friendly, democratic and by many published polls....one of the most desirable places on Earth in which to live. There are many things about Canada that Americans admire. Americans travel to Canada by the millions every year and to those that have "experienced" Canada  they develop a fondness for the country. Many Americans share the sentiment that they wish the US was more like Canada.

It is perhaps a touch of irony that many Canadians would wish Canada was more like the "States" a term used extensively in Canada to refer to the US. In a study done in 2005 it was found that at any given time of any day 6 million Canadians were physically in the US. Whether working, visiting, shopping or just crossing one of the dozens of border communities that span the international border between the two countries it is a startling figure that 1 out of every 6 Canadians is in the US at any given time. By comparison it would be like 50 million Americans were in or travelling to Canada ......every day!
The United States is unique and holds a special place in the hearts of her people and in the hearts of others as well.....like Canadians and people from all over the world. We have our problems for sure but to change who we are or to try to emulate another country would surrender our history, and ourselves. We need to fix what is broken and recognize our faults and limitations. We make mistakes but while people all over the world openly or secretly looks upon the US with hope and longing it is important for us not to lose either. They see the things about us that we have forgotten about ourselves. We need to take a closer look again and discover what many people throughout the world already know.......the USA is still a beacon and still a dream for many in the world.
