Americans and the world witnessed the first ever credit downgrade of U.S. government bonds in early August. Then the White House failed to win its proposed “grand bargain” of budget cuts and revenue raising. Is this all part of an elaborate scheme? Is Obama playing the American public and the rest of the world with his global standpoint on commerce and finance to another end?
