Why is there so much intolerance towards others with different beliefs?
Defining intolerance would be important in a discussion about this topic. Some accuse others of being intolerant when they express a differing opinion or hold to a different faith. These want to shut down the right of all who disagree with them to express their position(s).
There is plenty of room for disagreement in a free society. If we continue to go down the road of true intolerance that shuts down anything that makes anyone "feel" bad then we go down a dead end and open ourselves to enemies using that tactic to promote their own brand of intolerance.
Defining it includes whether the concept of tolerance toward others should allow people to do anything they want including break legal and/or moral laws, and so should a discussion about it.
It will be interesting to see what people have to say on the topic. This also makes me think of how sad it is that the importance of debate classes and clubs has been nearly annihilated in our classrooms.

Why do people of different religions constantly argue which is the the "true" religion? It seems like a never ending cycle. It seems like a war of words. I became caught in it at one time myself. I don't know that anyone will ever win it?

It seems to me that we have gotten to the point, in the United States of America, where nothing is Just, but also, where nothing is Sacred. A random person can makeup a day/a date or dates, and then proclaim (better yet, have a President proclaim) its significance.I contend that as a result,...

If they truly believe that there is no God, why does it matter to them that I do believe?I have written online Christian articles. Those who comment on my Christian writings are usually, 75% Christians, 25% atheists. I appreciate all the comments, but what I find interesting is how hard some of the...

Why is it more comfortable to make things up about people of Different beliefs? There have been a rash of questions and answers lately from people (mainly self professing Christians) asking why atheists hate God, etc. Rather than listening to what atheists day and explain about...
