                        BFF, I am frequently amazed at how some think our young people should not be exposed to different points of view lest they blindly adopt them regardless of prior knowledge, history, or family upbringing.
                        
                        The best we can do is teach our kids the values we believe are best for them, but also to think for themselves and recognize that an actor talking about politics may or may not have a valid point of view.
                        
                        If you think that celebrities have that much influence over your kids then maybe you didn't do a great job of teaching your kids independent thinking skills.

                        I think it is more than a joke since he is active in politics and has a record of saying things like during his meeting with Chávez, "No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people support your revolution."  That it is true there are millions that support communism is true, and from that point of reference if one peels the layers of the onion away we're left with real concerns.

      Yes, it was a joke from GWB. But, when you have a person like Barack Obama in the White House, it's no joke. Not when the man already acts like a king, demanding this and demanding that.
      
      Last I checked, we have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, meaning Barack Hussein Obama is our EMPLOYEE. As are all the members of Congress. They all work for us, not the other way around, and it's high time these "people" (I'm being nice) remember that, lest they be fired and sent home or impeached and sent to jail. The second is looking better and better all the time.

         Jonesy, I agree with you that President Obama is our employee.  Apparently, the majority of voters want him to continue in his job, since he was just elected to serve another term.  While I can empathize with your obvious distaste for President Obama since I felt similar disdain for Dubya, I hardly think you will get your wish that he will be impeached and sent to jail.  He would have to commit an impeachable crime first, wouldn't he? 
         
         While I spent eight years appalled by the walking and talking (barely) disaster that was President Bush, I faced the reality that he was our President and was not going away until his term was over.  I survived; you will, too.

               The only truly impeachable crime is making Congress mad enough to impeach you.  Richard Nixon's crime? Lying to the American people.  Clinton's crime? Subborning perjury and committing perjury(both real world crimes)  Barrack Obama's real crime - refusing to enforce Federal Law. - is unlikely to get him impeached.

                     We have moved from the rule by law to the rule by men.  It is a new Dark Ages, a feudal era and we are finished as a free people.  Serfs paid a lower tax rate than we do now and were freer than we are to abandon identity and move to a new play.  We are identified, taxed, dictated to by the state.  Law does not contain the state - Fast and Furious is just one example.
