Suddenly there has been big hike in rape case in India, suddenly little girls from age 4 to old ladies of age 70 have become target to sexual predators. The ruthlessness and aggressiveness of the act has reached alarming heights. I wonder what can be reasons of such sudden increase in rape. I am looking for biological, psychological and social causes that has contributed to this percentages.
I request all the members of HubPages to take part in this forum and speak on your take on this growing insensitivity towards women.
according to my views there are two main reason:
2. Sadistic mannerisms
rapists are showing increasing physical violence with rape act that shows that they want to force power on their victims.
raping infant girls or old ladies shows sadistic thoughts and enjoyment of rapists to make life of the victim a living hell.
I'm not very familiar with India at all, but don't you think a large part of it is simply better reporting? Both by the victim (or family) and authorities? As well as, perhaps, media?
Media has coverage has played a big role sure, but on an average there are minimum 20-25 cases of rape reporting daily in our national newspapers most of others go unreported. They report crimes that have taken place, rape has made it to daily reporting in media. The growing rate cannot be attribute to vast media coverage
