Is it FDR, JFK, Harry Truman, LBJ, Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton. These six guys each made big contributions to America.
I don't like how liberal FDR was, but he was a leader during a difficult time. He deserves a lot of credit for that.
JFK was actually quite competent and had some accomplishments, but he also had the Bay of Pigs debacle. He wasn't president long enough to really make a big, big impact.
Reagan had amazing accomplishments, both economically and in foreign policy. He ran up the debt and had a scandal. Of the presidents you mentioned, I'd pick Reagan by a long shot, but he, too, made mistakes.
LBJ pushed civil rights in a good direction but failed in Vietnam.
Clinton had some accomplishments, economically. His foreign policy was almost a mess. He had a scandal.
How does Lincoln sound? Washington? Perhaps Jefferson?
I think it's a toss up between Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.
See, I CAN be bipartisan!
Most accomplished in terms of political success, I would nominate John Quincy Adams. The man returned to Congress after serving as POTUS. He passed away serving the nation, on the floor of the House!
One of his pallbearers was a freshman congressman, Abraham Lincoln.

Be it not for me to speak ill of a fellow Democrat, but Hillary Clinton disappoints. Please read the articles, I confess that Salon is a left leaning publication, but I have included the article placed by H. Clinton in the Times of Israel to provide a little heft to my position.Bernie has courage...

I can only really remember as far back as LBJ. Some of you who are older may recall further back. The most entertaining one for me was Nixon. Paranoid and maybe a bit off in the head he was always fun to watch.LBJ was a character himself. I was actually sad to see him...
