US Senators sent to deserted island for 'Survivor'-style show on Discovery

As their colleagues fight for re-election, two US senators will be fighting for survival.
Discovery announced on Thursday that Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) will star in a reality series called "Rival Survival," which will find them stranded on a remote, uninhabited island. The show will premiere on October 29, shortly before the midterm elections.

Should this be a new way to elect our elected leaders in Washington? These two are not up for re election but, hey, maybe this is a good test to see if those running for office are up to the task.
Right now politicians are only working 130-180 days a year....making $174,000! No wonder so many want this job!
