Should Presidential vacations be curtailed?

Don't get me wrong, the hardest working job in the world needs downtime. But should there be a limit of costs? For somebody who is telling agencies (other than the military & "The Wall") to trim costs, attrition, and reducing services ... the one telling everybody else to give up is not sharing the sacrifice.

Typical Elitist hypocrite, "Do as I say, not as I do"

In total, Obama's eight year travel bill came to $97 million and unbelievably, Donald Trump is on pace to outspend him in less than one year.  ... Geez. And he hasn't even traveled out of the country yet.

At this rate, within 2 years the Republican president will have cost us as much as 24 years of Obama, Bush, and Clinton combined.

If your estimated costs are true then your suggestion seems reasonable.

Why don't we take the money Trump spends flying around out  of the paycheck that he has decided to not collect ?   Or maybe   create a new line item on our tax form to  fund presidential vacations out of our  refund tax returns ?   Or maybe   ask Congress , that doesn't do anything anyway , to  fund Trumps vacation time out of their perks .

Seriously , the guys working for nothing dude !....................

If we take into account his salary (which you say he isn't going to take) that leaves 96.6 million dollars.

Good luck with the line item on the tax form. I don't think I should have to put money toward a billionaire's golfing outings. Anyway, he did say he would be too busy for vacations. He apparently lied.

God !   You people sound like a bunch of housewives  worrying about the  cost of the cookies at the bridge party .     Really ,  the President playing golf !  How dare he ?

How many golf courses could he get to on a little less than 97 million?

Seriously horse back. The guy makes a claim. The guy reneged on his claim. Why do you need to pretend otherwise?

The Secret Service arranges President Trump's meetings and where they take place and when for security reasons for the President's personal protection.  That is how it works.  President Trump is learning very fast about things he couldn't have known while he was the Republican nominee.

The Hill has a way of spinning some stories in my humble opinion.  They would seem to be very pro-establishment and they know better than that.

So you're saying, suddenly the White House isn't a safe place for Trump to hold his meetings, so the Secret Service has decided he has to fly to Florida for them all?  Or use Trump premises?   Oh, give me a break.

The "make america great again" hats are made in southern California not in China.  "At the Cali-Fame factory, about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles".  Trump saved that company for going under, and all the employees love Trump for what he has done for them and their families.

I got a chuckle because my Dad (bless his heart) would ask us kids when we were just being silly kids, "Whats the matter with you anyway?"  I remember those scratch my head moments trying to come up with a good answer and found none, and quickly moving on.   Thanks for the fond memories.  <3
