   The special counsel can be removed only
   (1) by the Attorney General,
   (2) for “misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies,” and
   (3) in writing, which must include “the specific reason” for special counsel’s termination.
   
   the decision to terminate lies not with Attorney General Jeff Sessions but with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is the acting attorney general for purposes of the Russia investigation. So in the first instance, presumably, Trump could order Rosenstein to fire Mueller.  Rosenstein would then have to decide whether he believed the reasons Trump gave were adequate under the regulation. If so, he could carry out the order. If not, and if he refused to do it, Trump could fire him—or he might simply resign in the face of Trump’s order.....
   
   .... after Rosenstein, there are only two other confirmed officials in DOJ: Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, and Acting Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division Dana Boente, who was previously confirmed to be the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.  A tad more on this below.)  If the officers after Brand also resign, then an executive order on DOJ succession recently promulgated by Trump would control. (This barely noticed executive order would potentially assume great significance if Trump fires Mueller.)

   I'm sure Trump can fire anybody he damned well wants ,  is it wise ? No ,
   Is the investigation legitimate ? No .
   Has any investigation yet turned up any eveidence of anything ? No .
   Do the investigations continue and in fact escalate because of new evidence ?. No.
   Would Trump  voter support dwindle  if he fired the entire DOJ staff ? No.
   Will the B.S . ,P C. obstruction stop if NO evidence is ever found ?No.

   While the left drools over yet another  Trump obstruction  investigation , after NOTHING whatsoever being found yet ,  Trump should just facilitate the firing ,  dismissal , or demise of special councils altogether . Bottom line  THIS entire season of obstruction is simply partisan BS ,

      funny thing is, I remember the Repubs refusing for an entire year not to hold any hearing for a USSC judge nominee. Selective memory on the obstruction from the right is for the past 8 years is very revealing.

               You need a lot more ahorseback. A Special Counsel, and its investigation are supposed to be non-partisan, and its actions transparent. Would you trust one if it weren't both?
               
               It sounds like you feel only Republican supporters should be appointed to an investigation of a Republican. Is that right?
               
               I would think the addition of 'opposition-type' investigators  would give even more credibility to the investigation. You know, less smell of a cover-up by an all Republican-supporting cast.
               
               Of course there are the inconvenient facts that; he is a Republican, a former successful FBI director appointed by a Republican president, has a solid career of impressive, non-partisan tainted, credentials, and, prior to Pres. Trump's tweets, was applauded by both sides of the aisle as a solid and upright and trustworthy man perfect for the appointment.
               
               So what else do you have that disqualifies him?

                     You listed some reasons earlier that didn't pass muster, (or at least you didn't support them), but you stick with the contention that he should be fired. Why do you still think Mueller should be fired?
