what would happen if all the traditional news venues were shut down for a day?
It would be wonderful.
Americans would be able to think for themselves for once.
Our President would be in heaven! Ths is what we're heading for if he gets his wish.
Having to find your news would possibly make you realise how politically biased all popular news media is, whether you'd agreed with their view poinr or not.
Amen to all! I've personally gone on a news diet. I rarely listen to morning news shows, I read no daily newspapers but I do try to read the NY Times Sunday edition as often as possible - it keeps me up to date on the biggest news. If a really big news story breaks, I'll tune in somewhere (internet, news shows) to get the story and I do like to hear political speeches for myself but I generally shut it off without hearing the commentary , I prefer to process the speech myself.
