Are there still morals and values left in America?
Are we now "drones" to the media's will? Are we demoralized beyond repair? Is "adapting" and "accepting" our way of pushing away responsibility?
I think one good look at the media or entertainment television answers that question. Now a kid can tell a teacher to screw himself and not stand for the pledge of allegaince. And " Jersey Shore " a program about self absorbed immoral young adults is one of the top programs. Once society stopped having reverence for God and went about removing God from our lives it has been all downhill. And it is only getting started because it is gonna get alot worse !
Are we drones to the media's will?
Quite simply put yes we are. Americans have this delusion that because we have freedom of speech and free press that means our media doesn't use lies, deceit and propaganda. Some how they have interpreted this to... read more
Unfortunately i believe they are far and few inbetween from my experiences. It's all very sad, but am afraid all very true.
There are morals still in Amercia. People look in the wrong places for them. They have for the most part shunned the Church that Jesus Christ built. This is where you will find morals no matter what anyone says.
Judging American people or our country based on what is put out in a marketing campaign or in the "Media" is always going to give a false impression.
I for one see good Morals and Values everyday and they don't come from God or Religion. They come from all kinds of people that I see everyday. I don't judge a whole country based on what some opinion based media outlet might say. I also don't judge a person based on an opinion I don't agree with, its asinine. You don't go to a bad neighborhood or restaurant for that matter and judge the whole city or state based on that one experience do you?
We are asking the wrong question here, but the answer is, YES!
Certainly! Like in so many cases, they are held up by the "silent majority" who sits and watches the extremes in our society fray the fabric of our existence on a daily basis. The shock factor in our society has reached the highest proportions in the past decade. Tatooing and body piercing, once frowned on as taboo and trashy, seem to be the norm of the younger generations. Permanent change, permanent damage, is carried out with little consideration for the impact on the future. No doubt, our society is decaying and is also being diluted with the influx of illegals into our system. With enough of each mixed in, our society as it was known will fade away and possibly the morals and values once held will go with it. Some see no danger in that happening and willingly embrace the change without thought to the potential consequence. There is no fear because no one has taught them to fear or even question for that matter. Socialism, Marxism, Communism all thrive in an environment so willing to go along with what seems like a romance with utopian beliefs. For the most part, America of today is like a ship without rudder or sail being shoved about by the winds and waves in the never ending storm...yet there are so many on the boat who do not take notice. They will drown along with the rest of us. WB

Why are people w/ morals looked at as sinners while people w/o morals are looked at as winners? We seem to live in a world that has everything backwards. Right has become wrong while wrong has become right. Whatever happened to the good guy winning in the end? It seems like the bad guy always gets...

Due to the ever changing moral values and ideals of society, are there still people in this world who choose to live a Godly lifestyle?

I have noticed out of all of the pictures of the Arizona debate, only 2 had Ron Paul in there. In fact, most articles about that same debate don't even mention Ron Paul. What is it that they don't want people to know? I guarantee if Mittens or anyone else had over 1,000 Vets and active duty...

Just because it's funny doesn't mean it's not true. Of course, none of 'us' fit his description, but some 'other' folks sure do.As a side note, not all moderates smoke pipes. I only smoke one occasionally. ;-)GA
