Barack Obama. He made promises, has so far carried each one out and isi working towards bringing humanity back to America.
If my opinion counts for anything... I am a Canadian. :-)
Abraham Lincoln, because he was not only the most modest out of our Presidents, but we wouldnt have the Southern States if it wasnt for him.
Warren G Harding. I have a love hate relationship, just cause his administration screwed things up royally. Also, for the fact that people say he was an innocent pawn, while his friends in power took advantage of everything. It's like a puppeteer .
There were two who impressed me greatly. The first was Harry Truman. He was known to pay his own travel expenses even while on business as President. When his term was over, he, along with wife Bess, got into their car and drove home to Missouri...times were much more simple.
Ronald Reagan was probably my favorite without a doubt. I was skeptical when he took office that an actor could be up to the task. He proved that he was a born leader, a survivor, and a man of principle who did not give a damn who agreed with him. He saw what needed to be done and took action. He was a patriot to the core and despised anything that infringed upon the freedom of Americans. He believed in minimizing government intrusion into people's lives and he understood the trickle down effect of money in our economy. I believe that Bill Clinton reaped the final rewards of all the efforts that Reagan made in the end even though Bush held office four years in between. The stage was set and Bush did nothing to hamper that setting. The economy thrived as a result of Reagan's investment of trust in the private sector. Those were economics he understood very well and he worke to get the government out of the way. He was a tactful man but he carried a mighty big stick and he would use it when necessary. In my mind, he was truly an American. Thanks for asking! WB
John Kennedy and Bill Clinton are my most favorite Presidents. Kennedy saw that young female teens that were pregnant could continue to go to school and get their education and Bill Clinton had the economy in check. You could easily find a job and the money was at a constant flow. Bush left us in one big mess and Obama is catching hell trying to fix the problem while Bush and Chaney are sitting back counting their money. Bush did 8 years of screwing up and they expect Obama to repair it in his short time in office Americans wake up stop faking you know George Bush destroyed this economy.. What a mess. And Hannity on Fox news you wouldn't have any news if Obama wasn't the president with your prejudice views. Every night your entire negative conversation is on Obama. Hannity have you slept at night at all since that Black man has been in office get over it. He will be out of office soon enough.

I was thinking about this from a historian's perspective (I have an M.A. in History). My first caveat about this question is that, as a historian, I think it's misguided to try to evaluate president's while they're still in their presidency. It takes perspective and time to provide a proper...
