Has Facebook's popualrity and wide usuage become an issue with regard to people reading items...
about themselves written by people they don't know?
I joined facebook fin 98 and was pretty quiet. It is now at a point if I set my page to private there is no chance of a link possibly grabbing attention. Facebook is a place that I enjoyed the newsfeed and noticing hubs there as well. It's an even better place to share writers work and other sites I write at. However it has yes, become a real issue. Remembering family, friends, classmates, and associates ie, from here adding on our HP Team. What is dictating new policies is the facebook feed in our Hubs. This feed, rightly so gives HubPages more and stipulations as to what we can do there and how often. I have not been to my page in weeks I make sure I am always on offline status and am going back to full privacy. Others reasons as well,. The number of actual visits from a post is so low it won't be missed. I will however continue to support others then share the work from a blocked page to the feed.
I have been reading a great deal lately about what dangers are involved with Facebook as there is no moderating, rules per say and each man to himself
To be clear I have memberships at 50 sites and find no pleasure in any social site or forums. I am not bitching just slowly working on my site which combines the two with very strict access. Really good and I think issue - thank you for bringing it up

What do you think about Facebook's freedom to change your email/privacy settings without consent?I am beginning to HATE Facebook, due to their lack of respect for users. We are just pawns for advertising. We have no control over our own information. I hardly post anything personal, yet people post...

I haven't done that with any other site, but on Facebook recently I did click the box that says 'Stay Logged In' or something like that. I don't want it anymore, but I can't figure out how to get it back to normal. Anybody know how? Thanks.

Voters have a lot on their plate today. There will always be those who simply vote the party line. Will that be enough? What about the those who take the time to ponder? Elections are won on slimmer and slimmer margins. Inflation, abortion top campaign ad themes for third month in a row by News...

Just noticed that the facebook like button is not showing in Firefox, although it shows up fine in Chrome when I looked.
