Why is the US wasting tax payer's money, and displacing 235,000 poor civilians in Afghanistan?
While countries like the US, Canada, UK are currently using their military to fight the Taliban, a huge number of the already poor civilian population have been physically maimed, lost homes, and lost families; excusable collateral damage or total belligerence? Note: 9-11 was the work of Al Qaeda, how is that related to the Taliban?
We waste because we're really GOOD at it, and the displaced in Afghanistan are referred to as Taliban.
In theory the cost of putting out a fire when it just starts is cheaper than trying to put it out when it has already consumed half the forest. Muslim fundamentalism is a potentially dangerous fire.
In reality it is nation building to suit a new world order. It is too dangerous to leave any nation uncontrolled especially when they have the financial resources and religious sympathy to acquire WMDs.
Because we are the world police, you didn't know that? All the talk lately on bullying doesn't mean squat if you own government practices it.
@mintinfo...so you're saying spending $800,000 a yr per soldier or $189 billion in Afghanistan is worth the tax payer's money? And are you saying, because the US govt is already in deep crap we, the ppl, will have to suffer or deal with it?
@Druid Dude...where is the connection with the Taliban and Al Qaeda?
