Why do politicians think we are all dumb?

Do we really need more laws? More government control? More Government Spending? So tired of Nanny State politics from all sides let the police protect & serve not tax motorists, Let industry compete on a level playing field. And most of all make people responsible for their actions if more people admitted they Sc##### up but have learnt from their mistakes instead of blaming others the better off everyone will be.

Politicians believe we are all dumb because most of the people are. As well as politicians being self serving fraudulent prone cheating scumbags the general public can themselves take the "I'm all right Jack" attitude when it suits them.
Truthfully though the public get what they vote for and voting on partisan party lines is the main cause of the complaints after the election as they realise that what they were promising is not what they are delivering.

Because a lot of people are. They don't educate themselves, they read what the media said or what the school taught them. Should we pay taxes? yes. Should we pay a lot on taxes? No. Can the Government fix the economy? No. Can the Economy fix itself? Yes, if the government stop giving small business high taxes and rules, our economy would be better. Does the government want to control us? YES.

So let's put the pieces of puzzle together, Control people by more laws, higher taxes, people will depend on the government when they loss their jobs!!! When you depend on the government, they control you.

Don't you just love when they use the word "CHANGE" or "EQUAL", in people's mind we're all like YES, CHANGE. But change can be good or BAD.

Illinois politics - Standing Governor wants to raise state income tax so what does he do, he cuts Education, Police & Fire then campaigns on education? If he cared he would have cut Government First & education last but that wouldn't motivate people to vote for a tax increase. Dumb & Dumber!

Politicians believe most of us dumb. Most of us call for less spending to improve the economy. The masses are confused with negative adds. Many think lowering the taxes for large corporations and the wealthy will improve our deficit.

Read my Hub on Government Spending and taxes during recession. There you will find basic economics in simple layman's language.

They think we are dumb because far too many of us are apathetic to anything that happens within our government.  Too many of cannot even discuss the current issues regardless of how critical they are.  Bill Clinton pretty much proved what you could tell the American public when he testified on the allegations of his sexual activities in the Oval Office.  Even some seasoned politicians were shocked how well his stuff was playing.  Doublespeak, meaningless phrases, etc. have allowed these folks to cover their butts while they continue to spend money like the world is ending tomorrow.  Once they realize there is no "accountability" and Bill Clinton proved it, then the chains were off and anything goes.  As a public we took things too far when we handed the country over to the democrats in terms of both the Congress and the Presidency.  We are now on a fast road heading straight into socialism and most of America has no clue because they would not recognize it if given a printed description of what to expect.  America needs to get a lot smarter and do it quickly if it survives as a democratic republic. Because we are, we don't stand up to them and we don't stop them from all the crooked things they do. We need a third party to go in that represents the people and do as we say, as it should be now. They don't even obey the laws we have set up and what do we do about it?

Everytime I hear a politician say "I am going to....", I cringe.  1.  Less laws.  2.  Less government control.  3.  Less spending.
Cutting back means striking laws from the books not creating new ones.  Politicains are not the answer.  Americans are the answer.  The sooner we send farmers, soldiers, and tradesmen to public office the sooner we get our country back.

Because, they think, that being able to remain a step ahead of the Common folks ... meaning, to be able to foresee, logically ... makes them some sort of Superior Beings.

Politics is an erroneous mode of managing humans ... In, the Politicians "saying the Obvious" ... thus, the sayers, being declared leaders ...of the Masses, who, for their situation, cannot foresee, beyond the obvious.

This evil coterie of petty individuals, has led, and continues to lead the masses, with the instrument of Politics ... Deception, Lies, hypocrisy, and Histrionics ...

Now that Common Folks know ... Its time for them to go, from human Society.

Do you have any idea how stupid some Americans are? I have heard so many survey's of high percentages of people not knowing simple questions like who is the current vice president, or who was the 16th president. 6% of people couldn't even find Independence day on a calendar...They just want votes. So why not go for the easy ones. Its like if your hunting, you'd rather go for the animal who stands right in front of you than the elusive one who hides all the time.

A very bold question. My first reaction : do they? If they ( policians ) would dare to think, they might well consider thinking honestly, truthfully and wisely. They  might consider the Constitution as well the " need" of he people they " represent. (?!)
It's scary to see how little " they " do the work of " governing" and how much they do   " care " for themselves and their affairs. The worst part is that  the citizens just lost track of events, while they are being robbed of the freedom, liberty as well as money by 'legislative or executive orders . ' Too sad , no institution cares to advise "general public,"  and individuals aren't  much willing to educate themselves to KNOW  well enough their right and fight for .  This way a socialistic - communistic  - Marxist  agenda is spreading rapidly, and a " new god" is replacing morality without moral,
    a lie as truth etc...
