Not even close. Every president "inherts" problems. Obama is most certainly no exception, but the difference is that he does not have the breadth of experience to see "the forest from the trees". Health care sounds great on paper, but long term ramifications are longer waits for qualified doctors, forcing government policies on small business owners who may not be able to afford the skyrocketing costs it would require for them to provide the required health care for their employees, and so much more.
Obama also has a record so far of promising one thing and then delivering (or not delivering at all) something totally different. Standard politician fare, but again, his lack of foresight in his initiatives cause more harm than good.
And his latest, seat of the pants move is to freeze salaries of federal employees to help with the deficit. Again, sounds fabulous on paper, but most federal employees do not even make close to what their counterparts in the private sector do (yes, some make a large amount, but your everyday federal employee makes between $38k and $54k). Yet we have outlandish pension plans and salaries for members of Congress and other politicians. Refusing to start at the top has been Obamas M.O. from the beginning. Why? Because that is where he is and all those who will vote for him are there as well. Screw the middle class, they are unimportant to him. Unfortunately with the economy in the shape it is in, the middle class becoming lower class, every initiative the president pushes alienates him from the public and it will come back and bit him in 2012.
Obama is a one term president. The people (and the polls show it) are tired of his lack of real leadership and his habitual flip flopping.
Has he done a good job so far? No, and he probably will rank as one of the worst presidents we have ever had.
He's done a good job of dividing the country like no president before him, he's done a good job of governing against the will of the people on nearly every issue, he's done a good job of apologizing for the United States all over the globe and weakening our standing in the world in the eyes of many foreign leaders, he's shown a great propensity for ignoring the issues that matter to focus on the one's that don't....
If you couch it right, then yes, he's done okay.....
all I have to say is he is a poor excuse for a president...can anyone say socially communist?
