    The majority of Americans want taxes to be cut but do not expect them to be under Obama.

    Does not bode well for the trending of Obama approval ratings (currently tanking)...

      Sometimes I think we have forgotten what it means to live in a NATION. If everyone had their way, nobody would pay taxes and the country would fall apart. People are so willing to say how great America is, yet nobody wants to support it come time for taxes...

    sensei (master), sorry for my ignorance but based on recent experiences, were there ever really American presidents who legislated tax cuts? I mean here, we've given up hope about tax cuts. Instead we get more tax exemptions but the sales tax coverages are increasing (meaning the consumers pay more taxes when we buy stuff) so they just sort of cancel each other out.

      I reckon not, as the executive branch cannot make tax cuts.

        Shoot, sorry about the word legislated. I meant presidents who promised (during their campaign) that they will cut taxes but did not really fulfill that promise.
