This gave me a chuckle. My first thought was the homeless guy came first and "being homeless" he got depressed so then came the wine - wino. But maybe the the homeless guy is homeless cause he was an alcoholic.
I'm pretty sure the homeless guy did... after all, what were cave men? Sure, a cave is shelter, but so is a cardboard box.
Winos? They had to wait for the wine to be made, which means that crops had to be planted, harvested and processed. I don't think you can have a wino without some form of civilization... but I'm pretty sure one can be homeless with or without a civilization.
