Anyone read up on this Van Jones nut? He is a stone-cold lunatic and ANOTHER one that would never have been approved even by this Senate for ANY position if Obama hadn't circumvented the Constitution again.

you know what i find interesting is, you don't see a lot about President Obama's czars, or their questionable backgrounds, unless you listen to the radio or find it on the Internet. he is not the only questionable czar...not the only one with questionable credentials and backgrounds.

and why expand government anyway, when there are already government agencies to handle each responsibility that these czars are taking on.

Who Is Van Jones? A look at President Obama's green jobs 'czar'

the veil is slowly being lifted and the American people are beginning to see just what is happening to the government while we have been sitting here with our eyes wide shut.

If you notice only a certain few non believers are sitting with their eyes wide shut, others are screaming their heads off.

TK - you MUST trust Mr. Jones, no matter WHAT anyone shows you or says, because the White House (no matter the administration, especially this one) can do no wrong. You're so silly and uneducated, to question President Obama's appointee like this.

In all seriousness, since when do we live in a country where we are ignored and mocked for questioning appointees that have written communist publications and that have been arrested a couple of times?

My 'favorite' Van Jones quote: "How's that capitalism working for you?"

"Republicans are assholes" - another great quote from Van Jones. Of course, in Berkeley they cheered at this . . .

But...but...I thought the Republicans were supposed to be the mean spirited thugs? Did Van Jones bite anyone's finger off after he said this?

Anyways, this resignation was timed perfectly. Kudos to the WH.

Strategically, I'm impressed. Talk about minimizing damages.

This is just the first step in raising awareness about many more advisers that are so very detrimental to the administration and our country. America is finally getting ready for many more reveals.

There are many people who do not like Cheney.

However, amidst a plethora of documented speeches and direct ties with founding a marxist organization (STORM), it was deemed necessary for Jones to resign. Forget what he said about Republicans, forget the joke he made about capitalism....who cares. People do not resign for calling someone an a**hole. I really hope people don't think that is why he did. lo There are plenty of videos out there, where you can hear him speak in his own words and his own radical views. Straight from his mouth. Not from anyone elses, his own mouth. If these clips didn't exist and the American people couldn't view them, I don't think he would have had to resign.

Cheney is in the past; he is no longer in a position of authority. Jones is not/was not good for this administration. They were smart to cut him loose. It was inevitable. Too many documented sources of his indiscretions available to the public.

I think Bush would have been smart to also let go of Cheney way earlier in his administration.  The entire tone of this thread about how Obama's advisors are corrupt and bad for America is not completely accurate.  Bush had many good and bad advisors, and I think we can say the same about Obama.  I just find it amusing that people sort of smirk at my concern about Cheney violating the US Constitution, but it is okay to imply Obama is surrounded by communists.

Very good point. His resignation was planned well in advance and announced when it would garner the least coverage. We'll see how MSNBC spins it on Tuesday.

Chris Matthews crying and singing a song parody, "The Tingle's Gone" to the tune of "The Thrill is Gone."

Then Olbermann foaming at the mouth and having an apoplectic fit.

I think that about sums up MSNBC's take.
