Is violence ever the answer?
Are there situations that absolutely cannot be resolved without violence, or can any problem be fixed with words and understanding?
When it comes to protecting myself, my family, my property. I will respond with violence without hesitation.
It depends on which barrel you sort things into. When one is attacked and has no other alternative but to fight back to save themselves, then their actions should not be filed under "violence". In my mind, violence is a deliberate aggressive and provoking physical action initiated toward another individual or group. So, in the sense of my explanation, yes, violence is sometimes the answer when all other methods have failed to stop the perpretrator of the action. No one ever achieved a compromise working from a point of weakness. WB
