If you have been the victim of a robbery, did the offender get caught? How?
If you have been the victim of a robbery, did you get your belongings back? Was the offender captured? Did you fight back? Did it have a major effect on you?
Not me actually it was my mom. When I was a kid she used to take me to school and bring me back. On day when we were walking, two men came behind us in a bike and try to grab my mom's gold chain. She was holding it tightly, they couldn't succeed.
A girl who walked before us shouted so they just flew off. I fell down while they tried to pull it off.. I still remember this incident as I lost one of my teeth and got injured by this.
Yes, my ex-husband and I were the victims of a robbery whilst we were still together -- someone stripped the stereo and a rather elaborate sound system out of his pickup. When we called the police they basically told him they weren't even going to try to do anything about it, because this sort of thing happens all the time and there's not much that can be done after the fact. This was in a town of 5,000 people. Needless to say, it was never recovered. Since it was a small town we had a couple of ideas of who it might have been, but that's as close as that ever got. And no, it didn't really have a major long-term effect. Now, the time an extremely drunk man broke into our house and was sitting there waiting for us when we got home from work, THAT had a fairly profound effect though he never took anything.
