How do you feel about Obama spending tax payers money to go on 13 super expensive vacations?
Not sure what I think about it. I would have to look into it more closely before forming an informed opinion. For one thing, have other Presidents done the same? Has President Obama taken more vacations than other past Presidents? Are you including his trade missions as "vacations"? A lot of people travel for business, but it does not mean they are having a vacation the entire time. If he got in a few rounds of golf or a day or two on the beach during an official visit, so what? Who wouldn't do that?
The phrase "super expensive" is a subjective expression that depends upon one's opinion of what super expensive is. Compared to the amount we spend on the U.S. military, a vacation by a U.S. President is not super expensive in my opinion. Any vacation a U.S. President takes is going to be relatively expensive compared to an average citizen's vacation because of the security costs, the support team, and high tech equipment that travels with the President.
I know by looking at any President in my lifetime, they look like they need a vacation. They work long hours and have to make very difficult decisions. Most Presidents look quite worn by the end of their first term.
try doing his job and then decide if he deserves vacations.
Presidents always go on nice vacations. People only bring this up when a President of the opposing party is taking them.
In the history of presidents before him, they have all spent our money on things we felt they shouldn't have. He inherited a war, billion dollar deficit and high unemployment from the Bush family. Throw in earthquakes, and record weather conditions.
I think he deserves a vacation.
He also played golf after the hurricaine that hit New Orleans. Sorry, but that infuriated me. My hometown needs help and he is hitting a little ball.
At least he does not take as many vacations as Bush. That guy never seemed to be working.
