Is freedom free?
I'm reading a new book that talks about the miracle of freedom. And it said that only 4.5% of people who have ever lived in the world have been free to make their own choices. So is freedom free? Do you take it for granted?
That's an intersting question and an important one.
'Freedom' is a word that subjectively has as many definitions as there are people. As an abstract clasification the word can be categorized as a value and a value determines motivation.
People are either motivated towards what they want or away from what they don't want.
That means, if freedom is something desired then it is motivation towards what is desired and therefore free.
If freedom is something desired to move away from something else that is not desired then freedom comes at a cost and therefore is not free.
So, the question must be contextualized to define the meaning within a context because there is no meaning without context if you think about that.
Good question though!
Nothing is free in this world. We or someone else has to pay the price of this freedom.today,if we are enjoying freedom in some area of life its the sacrifice of our ancestors

Free Will is a rather loose topic. There are many arguments for and against it. I'm of the persuasion that free will is a deception of what the Bible calls Satan (the evil one, the great deceiver, the father of lies). I have a simple thought I want to explore through receipt of your responses. A...

One can read a verse or chapter a number of times believing they understand it's meaning ,...
