   What are Republicans trying to do?
   
   Obama folded, might as well step down, he didn't look after the little guy (middle America) like he promised, many of Us owe alot of money and have lost our houses. Experts predict that we are gonna be this way FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS! Please read the financial times and give me your opinion.

   Republicans are trying to convert social security into income tax and to get rid of tax refunds for the middle class.

   What are Republicans trying to do?
   The Republicans took control of the House in Jan 2011 and have finished the 2012 budget. The President and the Senate have yet to present a 2012 budget. By law the 2011-2012 budget was to be submitted and approved.
   The Republicans submitted 3 plans to the deficit reduction problems. The Democrats just now ,last Friday, submitted their plan. The President has yet to submit a plan.
   Today,  Aug.1,2011, the House approved a bill to raise the national debt, the Senate has yet to vote on a plan.
   
   The question should be ‘’ what is the Democrats doing ?’’ NOT TOO MUCH. THE DEMOCRATS HAVE 2/3S CONTROL OF OUR GOVERNMENT.
   
   
   Senator Coburn commented on the house cap, cut and balance bill submitted to the Senate. The Senator made a presentation of all the waste in our government pointing out that the house bill if allowed to debate on the Senate floor could have been the solution to the debt crisis.

   The democrats are unable to do anything because the republicans are blocking everything. So what they are doing is taking the senate hostage in order to push their agenda.
   
   First of all, any bill that suggests cutting spending is a complete flop from the get go. If we cut spending now we are asking for unemployment to get higher and the economy to take another big hit.
   
   We have to stimulate the economy and we have to bring in more revenue.
   
   How do you do that? Raise taxes. Let the Bush era taxes expire.
   
   But since the republicans have been kind of hijacked by the Tea Party they really can't do that without angering their voters.
   
   So what do they do? Block everything.......Including the budget that the democrats were trying to pass earlier. So let's not say anything about that, because they fought hard but still couldn't get anything done there.
   
   As far as deficit reduction plans, the democrats tried that too; but of course, it included raises in taxes and that didn't fly with the Republicans either-so yet again a fight they couldn't win.
   
   Right now the only way to get anything done is to fight the republicans until you end up having to give them something they want.
   
   The Democrats are not folding. They are in the midst of a Mexican standoff until they can get the house and senate under their control.
   
   By the way, cut, cap, and balance has been tabled for AWHILE. No one wanted to vote on that one in the senate. Why even mention it? It was a horrible bill and would have hurt the economy more.
   
   You want someone to tell it like it is....Look up Bernie Sanders on youtube. Yes, he is a Socialist...really.......but he knows what he's talking about. Been in the senate for a while. Look him up.
   
   By the way, if you asked him(a socialist) about Obama he'll tell he really can't agree with him all that much.....lol...
