Does anyone believe that President Obama will produce the jobs that he promised in 2008?

The $1 trillion stimulus package has been a collosal failure only because of all the wasteful spending in distributing the funds.

It would be great if Obama could deliver on the jobs but the world has changed a lot since 2008. Yes, the stimulus package doesn't seem to have done much but there is also pressure from Europe. The economies in many European countries including England, Spain, Italy and Greece is not very good at all.

I thought the jobs were supposed to trickle down due to the tax breaks for the rich? Isn't it argued by some that you have to continue the tax breaks because they create the jobs?

Mr. O. will not produce jobs. Nobody else will either as long as American economic theories neglect the real cause for the mess: Not being productive enough on a world basis, in other words - not producing things.

President Obama will not be able to live up to the  to his 2008 promises. The financial world has changed, fundamentally, and the US government hasn't realized this fact yet.  His lack of experience hurt his chances of getting hold of this disaster in the early days however surrounding himself with an equally inexperienced team guaranteed his ultimate failure.
Half the country believes that Obama is responsible and the other half thinks he's a victim. Regardless of which way you come down on this issue our country is in serious trouble and there is, at this moment, no leadership!!..... just when it is needed most.
