    No actions are better than the actions they've taken the last 8-10 years so we're better off when they are on vacation. Besides they miss more votes than they show up for usually anyway.

    No!!!!  Is anyone surprised to how many vacations these politicians take?  What are the rules for this? My company gives me 2 weeks of vacation per year.  Shouldn't voters get to decide how many vacations the people we put into office should have?

    The actual government is not on vacation (I know this because I can still mail a letter); though the elected politicians who create the laws typically go away from DC during the summer season and have done this since 1789.
