Do you believe that our government is in a conspiracy to control us?

After Obama signed into law the bill to detain any American who is suspected of being a national security threat without a hearing, do you feel this is leading to a one world government? Do you think the Illuminati is involved?  Do you think this is the beginning of socialism in America?  Tell me your thoughts?

I'm a firm believer in government conspiracies...but I'm also much more optimistic than I was, say, 15-20 years back.

    Why?

Because while I fully recognize man's capacity for mistreating his fellow man ("man" including "woman", of course), there's one quirk of human nature that messes up the One World types every single time.

    And that is?

When you get three strangers in a room, it doesn't take long before two of them will be plotting against the third.

    Why is this good?

Because huge conspiracies just don't hang together very well.  For every conspiracy, there are dozens of OTHER conspiracies working at cross purposes, and that makes coordination literally impossible over time.  As the I Ching might say, "The center does not hold."

Now, specifically about socialism in America:  That could happen...IF President Obama is elected to a second term.  But We the People don't intend to let that happen.

No. Illuminati? Really? No. It's that simple.

Just because a president breaks Constitutional law and detains American citizens without charge or trial, why does that mean the Illuminati or "one-world anti-Christ" might be involved? Can't politicians simply be tyrants on their own without far-fetched conspiracy theories coming into play? Stories about Anti-Christs, runaway Catholic sects, Freemasons, or sleeper cell Communists are low-brow distractions that only the simple people believe. A rational person thinks of Hitler, Stalin, or Napoleon taking over and creating a police state. We have been a national socialist country for some time, by the way. We pay high taxes that go toward maintaining a large standing military. We get nothing in return for the taxes we pay.

It's certainly the continuation of socialism in America.  As for the Illuminati, one world government nonsense, don't make me laugh.  Those are just reactions of people who otherwise don't have enough sense to understand what goes on in the real world.

Governments expand their power of the people they rule.  It's been that way since the dawn of civilization.  Governments stay in power by dividing the citizenry and setting them against one another so the leadership can do what it does best, fleece the populace of whatever it can get away with.

Why else do you think that our "leaders" are pursuing a class warfare/they took our jobs position?  For one party it evokes the old, 'it's the evil capitalists' not our failed economic polices that got us to this place.  For the other party it evokes the old 'it's the "others", those people that are not like us" not our failed economic polices that got us into this mess.

The MDAA is one of those things that our leadership can push through while we're arguing about inconsequential things and the modern equivalent of navel gazing.  When things start to get really bad, we'll see them turn the NDAA against citizens.  Ask the Japanese how well they were treated by their government during World War II.  The fact that so many of them went over to fight just shows how badly we don't deserve people like that.

No government is in a conspiracy to control the poulation that is what they are there to do, control and legislate the population  It is not unique to the USA or any other country for that matter, that is what governments do.  The root of the word is govern, another way of saying control.  A governing device, a controlling device.
