Do  those who have public defenders get the same justice as those with expensive lawyers?

Can a person get the same justice/verdict with a public defender as a high priced lawyer? We've seen the high end trials where those who most thought were guilty go free, but doesn't everyone deserve the right to the same quality of representation or is that even possible?

    NO,

In some case the defendant may get better but as a rule unless the defendant knows something about the law and is in a position to demand that Public Defender proceed, according to the defendant's instruction, its a about a 75-25 toss up in favor of the prosecution.

Then there are the politics to consider.

    Short answer NO.

No because the public defender doesn't have the resources to bride anyone.

NO.  public defenders are appointed by the court, and have less invested in their clients than a lawyer that is paid, for their services, by the client.

That would depend on the character of the attorney, Public Defender or paid attorney. That seems strange to read as attornies are supposed to be defenders of the public, paid or pro bono.

no...lawyers are out to make money and unless they are getting paid billable hours, your case gets ignored til the last minute. Or they give you an associate to do the grunt research and the grunt assoc. may represent you. Public defenders like the work and they love the adrenaline of that type of work. They also know it is lower pay.
