What do you think will happen at the end of 2012?
Some people believe that the world will experience a cataclysmic event in December while other believe that the human population will achieve a certain amount of enlightenment. I believe that we will still be here to experience 2013 but i'm hoping for at least something that will live up to the hype.
Not much of anything that I know of. I haven't heard anything about it except on hubpages.
Most cultures speak of a change in the planet. However, just another slight shift. A new era. But not the end of humans, so I trust in that glimer of hope.
The world will end...didn't you see the movie? I saw the movie, so I know the world will end. It is a fact, cuz I saw it with my own eyes.
So we all better get our HubPages payouts by then...
The Bible says we do not know the hour or the day of the end, so therefore any predictions are deception and not to be trusted. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36) However....we (who are in Christ) can know the season...and it is near.
We'll all have a big party on the 31/12. At midnight the bells will toll, we'll all sing Auld Langsyne and then 2013 will start.
2012 will not be the end of the world. It will however be the end of an age(world). Light will be shed in areas where there was previous darkness. Some will be enlightened; those who want to be that is. For others there will be more dark days ahead. It is up to you which path you choose. This is a World without end. The ages however, such as Dark, renaissance, etc. will alll move on to the next age.

DogTrainer is right...... When 12/21 rolls around... and the Mayan calendar has no more dates on it.... then, WE ARE DOOMED.
I'm planning to wear my asbestos wet-suit.... because I expect that I'll be swimming in that "Lake of Fire" that I keep hearing about......

I recently saw a show on the history channel that was about Nostradamus and his predictions for the end of the world. It also spoke of the Mayans prediction and how other religions back up the theory in their own way...
