Did Obama's policies cause Americans to become poorer?

Average net worth of american families are down by almost half.

Net worth has been going down since Reagan! So no, Obama was left with the mess to clean up!

The comparison was between 2007 and 2010 but unlike Reagan, he made things worse instead of fixing it.  And Reagan didn't blame Carter for everything.

All Obama-worship aside, rather than clean it up, he's only made it worse, screaming.

Regan started this spiral downward with deregulation and trickle down that didn't work. The Bush's more of the same. Clinton sunk us with NAFTA. Obama was left with the mess! Carter wasn't the problem! lol

Im laughing too, if you think Reagan did a great job! lmao... I voted for Bush. He promised lowing taxes on the wealthy would create jobs. Did it? No! He was the last nail in our economic coffin! Created by both parties!

CARTER WASN'T THE PROBLEM? Now that's funny!!!

Carter was a joke and Barack Hussein Obama is an even bigger joke. Problem is, economically, no one is laughing.

      Keep dreaming, Screaming!!!

You're right, no one is laughing. But you need to be laughing at the economic condition created by Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush! You're quick to forget who got us into this mess!

I'm well aware of the mess that was left Obama just as I'm well aware that the buffoon and Congress have done nothing but make matters worse. To say anything different is to present oneself as walking around with blinders on.

I'm laughing because screaming holds four white presidents responsible to excuse the incompetence of the first black president.

Cassie, you don't have aclue if you blame all this on President Obama. And yes, he is black!yikes) btw...I'm white. But I don't judge a President's track record by color. And the only one to leave surplus was Clinton. I think he was white? lmao

The current president is dealt the hand given them, they knew that when they ran for office.  Logically you can excuse Reagan for the mess that the last 4 presidents left him but you didn't.  You're excusing Obama because he's black.

@Cassie, you brought up the term "Black" and "white". Not me! This thread is a dead end! And there's no logic too it, Reagan put us on this road to destruction. Have a good day!

And bringing up the fact that Obama is Black should end all conversation.  I knew it you're a liberal.

@Cassie, I couldn't resist! rotflmao...go back in your posts. You referred to the President as and I quote: "I'm laughing because screaming holds four white presidents responsible to excuse the incompetence of the first black president." Last post!

Talk about no logic, you blame Reagan yet you do not blame Obama for the huge increase in debt that his spending caused.  If you want to end the conversation that's fine.  That Obama is black should not have anything to do with it though.

Hey, give the guy some credit. CEO pay went up like 20% last year.

The housing crisis came before Obama, and a lot of people deserve blame for that. While Obama hasn't fixed it, some of his measures have arguably been the right thing to do, there has just been too little of it.

I'm not absolving him of responsibility, but at the same time the other side of the aisle seems too busy playing with uteruses to do anything about it either.

IMHO, the credit Obama deserves is the gas allowance to take his sorry butt back to Chicago on the afternoon of Sunday, January 20, 2013. One way trip, of course.

I disagree for the most part. Perhaps some people who rely on gov't handouts would say so whether those handouts come in the form of tax breaks, gov't pork projects, welfare, corp welfare, etc.

Thinking individuals with their eyes open know they have to work hard and that gov't is not there to pay their bills. This is true in any economy and does not change even when President's do. P.S. I am NOT an Obama supporter.

People who rely on gov't handouts don't have net worth.  People who work hard do have net worth and now it's worth much less than three years ago.  Obama had promised to make things better.

Since Barack Hussein Obama has grown the rolls on public assistance, it's just one more way he's pulling down the net worth of everyone else. Of course, he's working hard to do that to the country as a whole since day one.

There are people who own businesses or large stakes in them, that rely on gov't handouts, subsidies, etc. & have very large net worths. Obama promised to make things better and didn't, just like too many other politicians that we shouldn't believ
