Will the November election turn around the economy?

After the November election, regardless of who wins the presidency, will the economy finally begins a strong upswing? Or will either outcome add to America's economic uncertainty?

Right now Congress is in the driver's seat. It's up to them whether they want to improve the economy or not. If Romney wins, we're looking at trickle down economics that's never worked. If President Obama wins, with the existing Congress not willing to bend, we're headed towards the next great depression!

You throw in the caveat of "regardless of who wins the presidency" but that will be the major determining factor. If Obama wins it will be 4 more years of what we have and probably even worse. If Romney wins - with his great business sense - we may be able to right some of Obama's wrongs.
