What are you going to do the day after the election?
I think most of us pretty much know who we are voting for at this point, so no matter who wins - lets let the cards fall where they may and look ahead: how will you start de-stressing after the hairy-scary national show is over?
Will you be okay if your favored candidate loses? What about if they WIN? (Sometimes that's just as bad, ha!) Are we going to be able to continue living in relative peace with our neighbors; or are we going to war? Is there any hope in the future for America as a country at all?
If Trump wins I will thank God Almighty. If Hillary wins it will only be through fraud and I will demand civil war. Arm-up, pray, get ready for martial-law and The Rapture!
Also see John 3:16 & Ephesians 6:12!
Are you going to start shooting anyone who voted for Hillary?
i believe we will see that. especially if orange-face starts ramping them up, which he so loves to do. just imagine....a big bully, all his life: has a million adorers at his fingertips, waiting for his every command. its frightening.
There are too many who speak of taking up arms if Hillary wins. I don't support this. Massive peaceful protests yes, armed insurrection , no. If Hillary wins, I do predict the rage toward her will boil over in bad ways.
You're going up against the militarized police, the army and the marines?
Can't wait to see how plays out, Gunny.
People with a cause can overthrow a tyrannical government of superior forces.
Been done many times in history.
Best of luck!
Do you actually BELIEVE that you are PART of the catalyst for 'end times' upheaval DOING GOD'S WILL - because, of course, God apparently DOESN'T actually control who wins any election. Peeps like you seriously need to read my spotlight hub about God.
The armed internal conflict will be started by Hillary & the Obamanites. Thank God for the right to "Keep & Bear(own and carry) Arms" so true-American patriots can defend themselves and their dwindling families.
Gunny, that starts, I might consider coming back to help freedom fighters.
By paying taxes and being silent, all citizens are doing is supporting their enslavement.
Vote for Trump!
You said you will demand civil war - now Hillary is the initiator? I'm not enslaved - and NEITHER of you are, either. You don't remotely know what that feels like. All you would be doing is imposing your fear-based beliefs on others thru force.
Catherine, just because you don't notice your chains, doesn't mean your not enslaved. 3000+ laws in a year, you can't be more free. And that's was just in 2015! LOL
You and your ilk are fearmongering fanatics. Democracy has ALWAYS been a process, and never a fast one. You want to believe that Dems R evil instead of the GOP intentionally inciting & manipulating conservative fears. Trump is a master of that.
My ilk has correctly showed the down fall of the U.S. over the last 40 years.
Because your "logic" can't follow the dots, well, as the architect for obamacare stated, "Americans are stupid",
I think he hit the nail on the head.
John, I gather from your comment that people are stupid to have insurance. I guess that fits in with the "I don't pay taxes because .... ("I'm rich; that would be stupid; I'm too handsome) fill in the blank.
You've 'showed' the downfall over the past 40 years? Whatever. You have blinders on and/or are brainwashed in fear as so many people are.
G.C. Don't agree with the civil war part. But agree with scripture. Rapture could happen any day
The blatant contradiction of both a demand for civil war and a scripture citation in the same post was exactly the kind of ironic, comedic relief I needed today
Jesus said to sell your cloak and buy a sword. He also stated "You must be born again."
A bunch of foolish democrats making the prediction that Trump's supporters would riot. GOT EGG ON YOUR FACES LMAO
I am going to keep living and doing the best I can. There is always hope and opportunity for people to come together period. I personally always try my best to have peaceful relations with those I meet and come in contact with. I hope, with all my heart, that people don't destroy the their lives over this because it truly isn't worth it. I suggest people roll with the punches and do the best they can to help each other out.
I will go on with my life and doing what I have already planned and believe that people will come together, but I fear that the lies perpetrated against Hillary Clinton and the power grab by the republicans will continue, the Congress and Senators will obstruct everything President Hillary Clinton does, just as they did with President Obama and President Bill Clinton.
I'm thankful that I won't have to de-stress for my confidence is not in what mankind will or can do. The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord and He turns it wither-so-ever He will. As a Christian I have direction on how to respond to government leadership: pray for them and live a peaceful life. Grace to You (gty.org) has a great post for Christians seeking to know more about how best to respond. It is titled Christians and Submitting to Government.
Of course, America is unique in that we were established with a protected freedom to speak up about matters that concern us. Even if our freedoms continue to dwindle, God's direction for our responses to government leadership never changes. He is still sovereign. It may not seem like it, but His Word stands. He does not owe us an explanation of everything He is doing, but His Word has enough for life in this world no matter what country we live in at any time in history.
Some Christians say the worldly condition of the church in this country is bringing God's judgement. Some say that the violent times we live in is bringing it, and others say it is worshipping creation instead of the Creator. There are many opinions and I don't know whether any are true at this point. I do know, though, that I don't have to stress. God's promises of help are as sure as His warnings. His faithfulness to His Word sweeps history and shapes our future.
We hope and pray for God's best yet we face the fact that we live in interesting times in this country and globally so we trustfully pray for wisdom to respond wisely to people and circumstances as times grow darker. The candidates are in need of God's help whether they ever realize it or not. It is truly amazing grace to be able to pray for them with compassion rather than spew hatred.
That said, it will definitely be a relief for the election to be over. It will take time for things to simmer down but at least relief from the yakkity-yakking about the race is in sight. Hope for the future? Sure there is, but there may be deep waters to through before people will truly turn to its Source.
Good answer. I have often wondered by so many people who consider themselves to believe that God has things in control - don't relax and trust him, more. Obama & Hillary are not beyond God anymore than Trump & Palin or anyone else. I have no
You stole my thunder. I was just about to post this comment: It's a big mistake to credit either candidate with more power than God. He may let you have your way. Take the counsel of His Word and trust Him.
Regardless of who wins, we'll probably see accusation of voter fraud. Regardless of the FBI's failure to prosecute Clinton, the emails from the Weiner/Huma laptop will likely be leaked. Not only does NYPD have them, many others have them as well, since the laptop was unsecured. It's been reported that the NYPD threatened to make them public. If Clinton is elected, the damaging information will just keep coming--at least until her inauguration in January, at which time she will probably take action to silence any opposition. These actions could take some unpleasant forms, such as internet censorship, wet work, and a gradual move towards "blasphemy courts," such as we're now seeing in Europe. Policies detrimental to the American people will be ramped up: still more illegal immigration, more Muslim immigration, more taxes, more banker bail-outs, more crony capitalism, and more destruction of the currency.
Unless some kind of counter-force is applied, the US will be a third-world country in 8 years, and I see few effective options for applying a counter-force.
We will also most likely be engaged in a hot war with Russia in 2017--which could go nuclear.
It's hard to say what will happen if Trump is elected. Initially, most likely there will be quite a bit of civil unrest in urban areas. Once inaugurated, he may be able to mount an effective prosecution of some of the criminals in government and finance--which would include the Clintons. He may be able to make other beneficial policy changes re Obamacare, immigration, the restoration of Glass-Steagal, and foreign policy in general. But I doubt if much can be done unless there is a major housecleaning in the way of criminal prosecutions beforehand--by means of naming an honest prosecuting attorney and cleaning up the DOJ and FBI.
The cleanup job is so massive that it's hard to see how it could proceed other than in small increments--with establishment interests kicking and screaming the whole way. But at least a hot war/nuclear war with Russia will probably be avoided.
"Initially, most likely there will be quite a bit of civil unrest in urban areas." I worry about this no matter who wins - thus, this question. I'm hoping it will be a bit of a vent 'in the air' instead of toward people. There's always hope - always.
If hillary killary clinton wins, I think I'll puke.
If Trump wins, I think I'll buy a coke, go to the beach and sit in awe of the fact that there might be hope for America.
I figured we were doomed when we elected the idiot we currently have in the White House.
If Trump's elected, there's hope.
And I'd tip a glass as a toast to the awakening of the American people.
Other than that, I'd go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean!
Personally I am still on a high with the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series so I haven't given much thoughts to politics. I know who I am voting for but if that person doesn't win, it won't be the end of the world and will support the one who wins.
I could never support the illegal-alien Obama, Israeli dual-citizen Bernie Sanders or that lesbian, commie, witch, crook Hillary. They all three are big fans of that Luciferian Saul Alynski.
Ditto! (Well, not the Chicago Cubs winning part - but, congrats!) I may not like who gets elected; but I have actually felt a ping or two of patriotism even when Bush W. was in office. The Prez does NOT define this country 4 me - nor does any party.
What defines the U.S.A. for you?
Wars, riots, lies from our political elite?
Payments by the government to almost half of the U.S. population?
Rigging of elections?
Am correct on any of these? Am I getting warm?
Await your reply
This country was founded with a common goodwill for all mankind as noted by the significant freedoms that we DO still have. LEAVING & complaining from a distance as U do, John - or threatening to incite civil war as Sgt P has - R Ur 'rotten fruit
Catherine, it wasn't founded on "common" good will. It was founded on individual freedom, and a limited government. Now we have fewer freedoms and a tyrannical government. Not complaining, stating facts. Only the enslaved support their masters.
What drama, our government is TYRANNICAL, LoL! You wouldn't know what that feels like any more than being 'enslaved'. Things are obviously overly-hyped in your mind, like others. Gee, I wonder how that happened? Relax, the end is NOT nigh.
Gunny I guess you would have moved to Canada in Clinton won. My choice was Trump by the way.
I'm going to go on Facebook and find out what my friends are having for supper for a change, and then I'm going to sit down and watch TV without having political ads screaming in my ears and face.
If my side wins - celebrate.
If my side loses - cry for days. Then plan for whatever comes next.
What terrifies me are the Democrat bullies already attacking conservatives for simply being conservative, such as the black homeless woman liberals beat up for defending Trump's star on the walk of fame, BLM protestors that chased down and beat up white people because they were white in every riot they've held, college events and increasingly public events where liberals block access if they don't show up with air horns to deny others' right to free speech.
If they have a new President that endorses their actions as Obama already does, the black mob attacks on whites (polar bear hunting/knockout game) and liberals beating up people for wearing MAGA gear will only become more prevalent.
The SJW hate mobs, the liberal bullies, will have a new, more ardent supporter in the White House. Where they shut down rallies in Chicago and beat up people for simply attending a Trump rally in San Jose as police in both cases did nothing, they will attack everything from Tea Party meetings to people who don't virtue signal on the street. (See the BLM demanding people say black lives matter when they entered a diner, then beating up people who said leave me alone I'm eating).
Then the liberal bullies will become full fledged brown shirts, the foot soldiers of fascism.
President Reagan once said "Trust but verify!" which is what Trump must do. That lesbian, witch & crook Hillary is an out and out socialist(godless-communist) like BHO, Bernie Sanders & Saul Alynski.
I really worry about your extreme views, Tamara (way more than SP or OG). You seem like such an intelligent woman; and yet you talk like a brainwashed fanatic who can't see the forest for all the trees. Since WHEN are things so cut & dry & on
T is right, though. Conservatives are under attack. The facts are sad and it's stunning to see the bias in so-called news media. A balanced response to facts is impossible for them to grasp in their blind rage toward policies that benefit them!
Catherine, If you buy the propaganda dished out by the U.S. government, and government employees call you stupid for doing so, doesn't that make you think about your stance? Gov. employees who dish out propaganda think you are stupid for believing it
Hillary: lesbian, witch, and crook. And what's wrong with being a lesbian exactly?
Well Pat Robertson doesn't think lesbianism is all that sinful, but I can read and have read Romans chapter one(The AIDS Chapter) many times.
Notice how one-sided your views are: as if Conservatives are the only ones who are hammered by the media or the government or any other life concerns similar to your own. We're in this together and there is 'unfairness' from EVERY direction.
I left hubpages (when I was earning between $300 and $600 per month) because of Conservative trolls and bullies on this site. What are you talking about? I won't go near the forums now, and I delete all conservative commentators because they attack.
Most likely, the same thing I do the day after a major Holiday or an important & festive event, Feel relieved it's over, relax a bit and then just get on with my life like any other day.
I am going to enjoy reading Facebook without rolling my eyes every other post. Every 10 posts is more than enough! I wouldn't say I have a favorite candidate, but I am going to hope that either way, our country has learned what it does and doesn't want and that the next election will yield better prospects on both sides. Kasich 2020!
I like that, something to look forward to, perhaps: better job of choosing candidates. Its the every eight years interval that we have problems with. We choose candidates who are a direct opposition to the previous admin. Balance might help.
That is the truth no one wants to talk about, isn't it? The 8-year swing. We're creatures of habit and far more predictable than we'd like to think.
I will take time just to relax. This election has made me really stop in my tracks, and really consider how we ever got to this point. The point that we would have two people such as our candidates even be allowed to run for president. And worst that we as a people would become divided defending them. Two very flawed human beings. And now we have one as our president... Where has common sense, values, and morals gone? Will I be able to relax, well maybe not for a while. I am one that was born with an abundance of common sense, this will make it very hard to put this all behind me.... ( I can imagine you wonder who I voted for? I voted Trump, due to the change he campaigned on. Plus i weighed their histories.)
No matter which way the election turns out, the dog will still need to be walked tomorrow morning, the kids will still need to get on the school bus, the leaves will still need to be raked, and the house will still need to be cleaned. So it will be just like any other day.
Yes, might be a good idea to wake up. Whose "new reality?" You live in SOUTH AFRICA!!
Paula, do you have any idea how much the USA forces other countries to do what the populace don't want. Besides I only returned to South Africa a year ago. I was in California and Texas for 11 years. My daughter is still in Texas.
So is it common knowledge in South Africa that Obama was born in Kenya like it is in East Africa?
well in my lifetime there hasn't been major changes in my life depending on who is elected president however what I've noticed is the city county and state officials have more say about the things going on in my everyday life so I really just wish people would get so damn emotional over a the president and take care of their own community.
I've already congratulated you Trumpsters elsewhere - but I would imagine you won't tire of hearing it for a while: congratulations. May the next four years be everything you've hoped for, and more.
Liberals, progressives, socialists, atheists and all commies can take comfort in the great likelihood President Trump will be the very last president elected by regular white-guys. He only won by a couple percentage points fellow comrades.
The absurd thing: you're very proud of that, LoL! "We militant-believers who worship God Almighty demonstrated our profound unhappiness by electing the most unappealing, fear-mongering, INSULTING jerk in the world to our highest office - HOOAH!"
Perhaps we can stave off the New World Order just a little longer. I hate Big Brother.
Gunny ~ It appears the Latin Vote is what carried Trump. Latinos are very conservative and deeply religious as a whole. They have never been part of the liberal camp and for the life of me I can't understand how the democrats ever thought different
I know citizens of Mexico are disappointed in Trump's victory but I couldn't care less.
New World Order, Gunny? I hope you are ready to bow to Russia. Putin is already salivating. And I thought it was China we had to worry about. How the world changes!
I know Japan, Taiwan and South Korea would start developing weapons, quickly. These are 3 countries, that got all of what it take to become super powers. However, the US' policy in relationship to these three nations are outdated policy from the early cold war era. Back in those days, the US wanted to quarantine the Communist. Taiwan and South Koreans wanted to push the Communist back to Russia. Japan due to WW2, has great restriction on their self defense force.
As a result, the US back in those day, tend to pressure Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, to restrict in the development of their military, with threat of the withdrawing of US troops from Asia and economic sanction. Because during the cold war, everybody needed to rely on US leadership, they got no choice but to put up with this shit and as a result, there was a need of a strong US military presence.
In 21st century, US is continue to use that out dated policy. For example, 3 years ago, Taiwan's new Mark 4 attack missile, was fear by China, because no Chinese defense missile is capable of interception, in addition this attack missile is cheap to produce. However, the US started pressuring Taiwan not to mass produce this attack missile. despite increase strength of Chinese navy, instead Obama place more navy to Asia. After Trump came into power, he already announce he has no intention to in anyway, pressure Taiwan, Japan and South Korea to mass produce weapon or develop weapon that is even more powerful. Trump even went further to encourage Japan to develop weapon of mass destruction. Taiwan, Japan and South Korea already have what it take to become super power, but that has not been possible, this is because, despite the increase threat of China, US continue using the need of US present in Asia, to pressure Japan, Taiwan and South Korea to restrict weapon mass production and to develop more powerful weapons. Thus, there is an increase need of US troop present in Asia, to deal with China.
Under Trump's policy, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, can within a matter of 4~5 years, be more then powerful enough to crush China, Japan, who is the most powerful of the three, chances are even Russia would be no match against the Japanese. Thus, there would be lesser need of US troop present in Asia, so Trump can afford to recall more US troops back from Asia to the US, thus kept his promise to the American people. Even after Trump finished as President and the next President, return to the old policy of pressuring Taiwan, Japan and South Korea to restrict weapon development, by that stage, these three nations would be so powerful, they have no need of US presence to deal with the threat China, North Korea and Russia poses to Asia and consider pressuring the Taiwanese, Japanese and South Koreans to restrict their weapon development and production, in exchange of more US troop present in Asia, is an outdated stupid policy, most likely, by then the Taiwanese, Japanese and South Koreans would just ignore the US. So, there is still no need for additional US troop present in Asia,
Business as usual over here! Going to finish working up a wedding for clients while the kiddos are at school!
I'm going on about my business like it's any other day, just as I have done for every election thus far. Life goes on.
I am going to keep living and doing the best I can. There is always hope and opportunity for people to come together period
I keep an eye on the movement of share markets where it stop at last.
Congratulate Colorfulone, Kathryn Hill, Sgt., and Taze. Their candidate framed the election to turnout plenty of voters with immigration and jobs and security.
Not once did the democrats anchor themselves to the successes in California and Minnesota tax plans. The environment was an after thought.
I think everything going to be normal after this day. Trump has surprising victory over Clinton. Now no more debates, no more election campaign and etc. So people going to change their car tires into winter tires and gonna lives their lives like they always do.
Listen. Love. Extend a hand to those who need it. Continue to prepare for the future by doing well in medical school. Pray for America, pray for struggling Americans, pray that Trump will have the ability to step up to the plate and lead with grace and kindness. Learn from those around me, spread goodness, and keep living.
I realize that it doesn't matter which puppet is elected. The same hands will be stuffed up their ass. By that, I mean the same wealthy families, large corporate conglomerates and international central banks will be controlling the country the same as usual. America was bought and sold long ago, and the funny little theatrical puppet shows that we refer to as political elections have been a farce for nearly a hundred years.
As far as wars, terrorism, and so forth, I really believe that business will continue as usual.
Before the election there was a sense of hope and optimism. There was a general feeling that the young people in our society would band together and rise up to say "this is not who we are". Sadly, this voice was overshadowed by one of fear, anger, racism and pride. In the new world we live in, it will much harder to cling to the inclusive and inherently american ideals and values the past presidency embodied. I think we need to come together to support any measure Trump proposes that furthers progress in our country, and work vigorously to oppose any legislation that does not. The main problem I see with this election is not that Trump is our new president, but rather that the type of people with racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, or misogynistic ideals are now emboldened through this election. We simply need to make sure that we can always say we are proud to be Americans, and fight any idea or policy that would harm that.
Favorite candidate win or loss, does it affect in any way? Some what it is, at least I think this, because it is a human psychology "If wish not full filled, they get upset". But fact is this from a ancient time common people are ruled by there leader whether they like it or not. So whomsoever win we have to concentrate on our daily work. Nothing going to be changed after election. Just like before election, I was doing 9-5 job, still I am doing the same. So no affect at all.
nothing...just accept the result..and go on with my life.
Focus on family, friends and future is what I have been doing.
That said I have already been watching the media and reading online. The media educed violence is amazing. Look at the article below- in particle the video near the end of it to see real time - politically caused - violence before the youtube video is pulled.
