Should Washington DC be renamed as Parasite City?
That economy depends on government jobs. It doesn't create any wealth, it just shuffles it around.
I think it should change to 'the land around the White house where the peasants suffer'
Washington D C, no, for the city getting rape by the Bankers, oil, insurance and any other lobbying big business there is. but the White House, The Capitol with the Senate House and Congress house Yes for these people have BANKRUPT THIS COUNTY AND FUNNEL THE MONEY TO THERE PEOPLE. and the lie that they make people believe is the wealth is just shuffles around. bull. it in time goes to the MAJOR CORPORATION. THE SUPPER RICH. PAYROLL TAX TO THE FEDERAL RESERVES AND ANY OTHER TAX 90% OF IT GOING TO SOME BUSINESS WITH FEDERAL SUPPORT, while one that the people pay for Social Security debt by the Federal Government is higher that the national debt. there are some report that the Federal Government has taken up to 60 trillions dollars from Social Security.WE THE PEOPLE HAS LET THE PEOPLE THAT WE PUT IN OFFICE BANKRUPT THIS COUNTY.
It's a city of corruption, decadence, and fantasy. Also, the buildings and countless memorials are hideous. It creates vast amounts of wealth for a very small segment of the population with regards to government contracting. I think it should only be a ceremonial capital. Of all the government departments we have, only the military seems to be setting a precedent by re-locating away from Washington. It has made the most progress by moving many of its domestic agencies and headquarters out of the city to many other states (and I don't just mean Alexandria, VA)
It is the people's fault the Government is corrupt. We allowed the Government to gain unlimited power and deceive us. They told us they would bring us free money and free stuff and we listened. What they did was take our money and give us back a few crumbs.
Since we gave politicians all the power to run our lives corporations can buy influence and pay for laws. The Government has too much power to auction off to the highest bidder.
We live in a fascist state.
"when fascism comes to America, it will not be in brown and black shirts. It will not be with jackboots. It will be Nike sneakers and smiley shirts. Smiley-smiley." George Carlin
