Do you believe that competition at any level is a good thing?
I believe that competition is a good thing because it provides a drive that cannot be achieved through other means. However, my definition for competition does not require a physical opponent such as another individual in some cases. For example, a person can actually compete in an individual sport or personal challenge where they set a goal for themselves to achieve. Some people may not see this as a competition, but when trying to better oneself by setting a higher goal, the challenge is the same as any competition because the individual has chosen how to be the best. Since I am not sure what you mean by "at any level", I do not know how to answer that portion of your question.
I think it may or may not be a good thing depending on the context. Competition among couples for example, is really not a good thing coz it may build resentment and cause cracks within a relationship.Siblings can compete to a reasonable extent and it is not necessarily a bad thing.
Business competition on the other hand, is a very good thing coz it allows customers to get the best services possible from their products and service providers who will raise the quality of what they sell.
Yes it pushes you to reach you limitation and go beyond them.
